Changes to Login and User Dashboard

We are testing a change on the front page where Community Builder will start taking over the user dashboard and activity feed instead of EasySocial. EasySocial has been giving us some compatibility issues after the upgrade, so this is part of making the site more stable going forward.

A couple of questions...

Complicated question... ;)

The busiest times for the chatroom tend to be before, during and immediately following live services (the next services are 7th and 22nd June, exact times tbc). Numbers in attendance at services vary but are often between 10-20 people so, as I'm sure you can imagine, chat gets quite lively when they all stick around afterwards!

Chat used to be busier back in the days when you could see exactly who was in there before entering. Which probably doesn't say a lot for our bravery ;) I'd always encourage people to stop by - true, you don't know who you might come across, but can't that be a really positive thing? You get to meet really interesting people who you might otherwise never think of talking to...

Probably the main reason for the lack of activity in chat is because we have an unoffiicial Skype group which serves the same purpose. If you (or anyone else reading) want to be added in to it feel free to PM me your Skype name and I'll make sure you get issued an invitation to join.

What chat? And why do I get redirected to a membership info page every time I login to the site? Once is enough, OK?

The best way to get more people using chat is to spend some time in there... I know I don't check in when there's no-one there (I guess someone should..) but when there's 4+ people, if I'm able to I'll usually log in.

I met both my training master and my best friend on the site through Chat, and I've only been here 7 months.. so I'd say it does certainly get used!

Things do just seem a little quiet right now, and on the Skype group too. They'll pick up again. Ebb and flow, wax and wane... that's the way of things. :)

Indeed. I'm often in chat...or at least I try to be.

It would be nice if more Knights that stayed logged in would also stay logged into chat. If you're watching T.V or reading a book just keep chat open. "If you build it he will come" kinda deal. If you stay logged into chat some ones bound to pop in.

Though I understand there are others reasons to "avoid" chat.

Horse, is that what you have saved as your favorite?

I think "the wall" page is mine and when i log in, it takes me there...

Chat, in case you (or others) are seriously unaware, is located up top, under the "My TOTJO" tab... Or, down at the bottom of the page, in the community tab, hidden behind the word "Chat"... (bustin' yer hump, lol)

About Knights in Chat, the things Daniel says are correct...

I used to hangout in there...

When I had a home computer...

Chat is not very phone friendly, and because of that, I go in there very seldom... Ceremonies, when I am able.. That's about it...

Some ranks automatically get redirected to that page in order to avoid certain repetitive questions.

Not true. There are lots of things that are impossible. In fact, there are more impossible than there are possible things and I can prove it. Of course this has nothing to do with the thread at hand, but you know me - when I see a beautiful platitude like this I must intervene, always. :D

Considering there are multiple dimensions in existence , and the fact that the universe is ever expanding and pretty dang huge as it is, there is no way you can possibly prove that there is a definitive way you can prove what you say. True, there are a lot of impossibilities here on our planet in our dimension, but so far the only things you've proven impossible exist by those standards. Thinking beyond those standards is what it means to have an open mind.

Not to be oppositional, of course. I enjoy watching our logics clash. It's a learning experience for everyone.

Replied by on topic Regarding Specific Teachings:
1. Are there any specific groups or chat-based areas which teaches you about the Dark Side of the force.

2. Where can I go to meet people who follow or believe in the Dark Side?

I would name it Shaolin. I saw a documentary where Lucas said the Shaolin monks were a strong influence along with the Samurai on the basis of Jedi.

I am not sure if I am in the right place to be asking these questions but I just returned to the temple and my studies after a long absence paired with visits that were few and far in between I had started the initiates program and was a novice I do believe I just need to know if my sponsor is still the same person or if I need to fill out another application and begin the process of becoming a novice I would very much appreciate it if someone could enlighten me with the answers to these questions or at the very least point me in the right direction to get them answered
