Sithism...

Sithism... was created by Manu
Sithism was around until 2007, if I'm not mistaken. Then a whole bunch of members moved and started The Cabal, which is now all but dead.

I've been around jedi boards since 2002, way back at jediism.org

It's fun to see how so much time passes and yet things don't really seem to change.

EDIT: I broke this off of the thread about TOTJO history.... As it seems to derail the thread...

So did I. But change is inevitable. Facing it and adapting is for the brave. Isn't that Sithism 101?

psh. Sithism didn't adapt... it crumbled. Cabal sucked. OOTS is a barren wasteland of nihilistic crap... and, this new Sith Academy thing is a joke.

I'm no Sith anymore anyway. Just kinda disappointing. The only true Sith stuff I see these days hails from Force Academy. hahah.

I liked it better at FA when richard irvine was running the dark aspect... I thought compared to the other dark siders there he seemed more mature. But then he left.

Most of the guys from the Force Academy are at OOTS, Connor. Well, Khaos, Draconis, Axael and myself. So are Azrael and Ben.

I've been thinking and don't believe there is such a thing a a sith. Sith meaning 100% evil. Just people in denial, lost their way or taking the easy way.

Still. :P Doesn't mean the community works the same way.

I'm not a fan of Miles.

And, I'm not realllly a fan of Khaos (who I think is really on his own path...). But, Draconis, Axael, you, Azrael, and Ben are all fantastic Siths. I'm glad the next generation is carrying so well, even if it's *mostly* the older generation keeping it up.

Sith exist, because they say they do.... ;)

It is not for us to say, us being those who don't follow the Sith path....

I know what you mean, I think, and I agree to a point.... But you are removing labels, and that is controversial for many....

Most Sith will tell you they are not evil, and they are not....

Its kinda the point of the "ask a dark wider" thread....

Although that is only two Sith who speak in that thread... There are others here at TOTJO, but that's OK... We love'em..... ;)

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

That is not Sithism in any way shape or form. That is merely a fiction-based view of what people think Sithism is about (no offence)

And those best qualified to tell you what Sithism is are the Sith themselves and will explain it better than me

Why does this thread have mixed topics?

What's the URL for OOTS? I googled Order Of The Sith and found more than one possibility.

It is more accurate to say not all sith are evil...in fact most are not...there is nothing evil about having a "me first" mentality...selfish maybe but not evil....you're basing your interpretation of them on a fictional extreme based on perception...

I will claim being evil, just not a genocidal dictator building a planet killing space station.

Hold me next to emperor palpatine and yes, I imagine I will always pale in comparison on the evil scale.

Of course George Lucas said his model for palpatine was Satan.

I think ultimately you have to understand that while being evil, I do try to avoid jail and such.

Unlike fictional/mythological evil, I cannot act with impunity.

Ah, now I must quantify how evil I am? To what point? So you can tell me I'm not?

See this is how it goes. I say what it is that makes me evil, and then ensues the relativism(mostly moral) to justify how I am not.

Who this justification is for I am not sure.

Justification of how I am or am not evil is not something I need waste my time with.

Suffice to say I never have expected jedi to be 100% good.

Though I wouldn't say they aren't good.

I also wouldn't ask them to tell me what is good about them either.

Suffice to say Sith philosophy isn't just about me first. Its me first even at your expense, hell especially at your expense.

Suffice to say I have harmed others for my me first and felt good about it. Hell at one time it was a full time job.
