Harry himself is arguably the most obvious Jedi - never failing to put the protection and happiness of others above his own chance to have any kind of normal life - but I kind of see the whole Harry Potter series as Star Wars with wands instead of lightsabers. Once you look past the 'it's an entertaining story for children' aspect, many of the characters have much to teach us about different Jedi virtues.

Huh... have always avoided that one because I assumed (therein lies the mistake...) it was just vacuous trash.

And don't spend your time looking around for something you want, that can't be found
(singing): When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinking about it
And I'll tell you something true
The bare necessities of life will come to you.
...
And after putting himself in harm's way to aid Mowgli's escape, and getting knocked out:
[Mowgli comes to Baloo, who is lying without signs of life]
Mowgli: Baloo? Baloo, get up. Oh please, get up. Oh.
[Bagheera arrives]
Bagheera: Mowgli, try to understand.
Mowgli: Bagheera, what's the matter with him?
Bagheera: You've got to be brave, like Baloo was.
Mowgli: You don't mean -- oh, no, Baloo.
Bagheera: Now, now. I know how you feel. But you must remember, Mowgli, Greater love hath no one than he who lays down his life for his friend.
[Baloo opens his eyes]
When great deeds are remembered in this jungle one name will stand above all others. Our friend, Baloo the bear.
Baloo: He's cracking me up...
Bagheera: The memory of Baloo's sacrifice and bravery will forever be engraved on our saddened hearts.
Baloo: Beautiful.

Every time I see someone put the films before the books, I die a little inside.
Okay, maybe a bit dramatic
How about Thomas Marshal, along with Baron William d'Aubigny and his men in Ironclad? They stood and fought against a larger, better equipped force, against a tyrannical king, in order to protect the rights and freedoms in Magna Carta (Yes, I know Magna Carta wasn't exactly universal)
Some sacrificed their lives, Thomas Marshal in particular much more- then at the end, when the battle was done, he laid down his sword (and got the girl!)

I love what he says before the final battle.
"Merciful Father, I have squandered my days with plans of many things. This was not among them. But at this moment, I beg only to live the next few minutes well. For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought; all we ought to have said, and have not said; all we ought to have done, and have not done; I pray thee God for forgiveness."
Follow that with the Norse prayer and, wow. That movie is seriously underrated.
I know this thread is about movies, but the TV show M*A*S*H* taught me so much about how to live my life. Between Hawkeye, BJ, Father Mulcahey, Klinger, Radar, and Colonel Potter you pretty much have my education as a child. I'd say the at least helped make me more Jedi if not counting as rather Jedi themselves.

Much of the movie is about the main character discovering who he in relation to the world around him, while learning what it means to be in control of his mind and reality. The protagonist is immediately thrown (born) into a universe without knowledge of self or his surroundings, and finds his way to a state of complete and total understanding that is accompanied by a desire to change things for the better.
At first I wasn't sure if the film represented the ideal hero's journey as much as simply one falling down the rabbit hole and becoming a hero through necessity, but then I referred to Campbell. In The Hero with a Thousand Faces Campbell states:
"A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man."
That statement seems largely accurate and appropriate when considering Dark City.

The film follows a highly fictionalized version of San Te, a legendary Shaolin martial arts disciple who trained under the general Chi Shan, portrayed by Gordon Liu.
The Silent Flute , which was the original title of the story conceived by Bruce Lee, James Coburn, and Stirling Silliphant in 1969.
