Volcanoes...

Where do you see the dark side? In the criticism? - that isn't dark. Or is it the perceived emotions you are reading into the discussion? ;)

 where did that come from?

We are a Jedi Church. Always have been since day 1... never had any affiliations with another Church

1) So which temple type are most people who are interested in making a physical temple interested in?

Remote Monastery

Retreat Center

Urban Micro Temple

Grand Temple (think tourism)

Temporary Temple (to meet with local Jedi)

see page one for more detailed descriptions. Or please add another option if you have an idea for one.

2) How important is it to everyone that it be officially called a "Jedi" temple. Verses just a temple of human development.

Sorry to be a pain but the discussion is now 11 pages long... would you mind posting your most up-to-date interpretations of what each of these ideas is that you're proposing? :)

1\ Micro

2\ We're Jedi; it's our teachings we're spreading, so it should be a Jedi temple. If it's gonna be generic, let's turn it over to all the other "under-represented" groups like the Hare Krishnas and Celtics and let their blood, sweat, tears, money and time be used to build it. (Translation: why build it if it's not going to be [primarily] about us / our work?)

You brought it up and it was noticed and is addressed here:
http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/General-Discussions/91648-Temple-Of-The-Jedi-Southern-Baptist-Church#91648

There isn't a whole lot to say on the matter other than the guy who likely informed you is utterly ignorant of the legal situation

We are not in any way affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church

I saw in another physical temple thread that it would be really cool to put a temple on a volcanoe... yes?

Urban Centers could be the best to start with I think, then retreats.

I Have a temporary site at my place and the neighborhood around where we meet. However, urban centers are probably the best bet.
