From what I understand, people may left the communities, but what they take away still makes them a "Jedi" or "Force Realist."

Sometimes you train at a different site looking for something different, to keep growing. Sometimes you are looking for the "right" teacher. Honestly I believe that the teacher and student find each other and approach each other.

We're not exactly dwindling. But that's not my point. The LA will always have points where people come in and learn. But we have a lot of knowledge to pull from, just as ToTJO does. Working together is not outside of the realm of possibility.

The number of active Jedi sites is dwindling I thought? If it will happen then we will all eventually merge into maybe a few different closely linked groups. You never know we may one day decide to form a 'super-group' that has all of them under 1 banner

I don't know how things will progress. It's like the thread recently about Jediism in the future. I say: "Ask a Christian 2000 years ago what they think Christianity would be like in the future."

Being one is not good. I think one must have different choices to make. I'm on 3 sites now, and I see that styles are different, and they attract different people. TOTJO is too philosophical... One may not be a good philosopher (the word is correct?) but (s)he could make a good Jedi...

Jediism could never be just one big organisation. There are too many different approaches, ideals, beliefs, etc...

It's like how in the Christian Church you have a huge variety of different denominations and churches. Even within a denomination the churches can vary widly. My church (part of the Anglican CofE) is quite high church, traditional, formal (think robed clergy and choir, Cathedral style music, incense, formal processions, etc etc). And then you get what are known as 'happy clappy' CofE churches, where no-one would dream of wearing robes, they regularly sing Shine Jesus Shine, people will clap and wave their arms around whilst singing, and it's all 'JESUS LOVES US'...

If I had a choice between going to a happy clappy church, or never going to church again, I would pick never. And if the happy clappy people had a choice between going to my church or never going to church again, they would quite possibly pick never as well.

This would be the same within Jediism. Having different communities allows people to find somewhere that fits their view of Jediism, and to make a home there among like-minded people.

The true aim should be for all of the different organisations and communities within Jediism to exist together in a spirit of peace, harmony, communication and co-operation.

I agree the groups determine slightly different natures of the path/pursuit. Different groups could though co-sign documents, such as guidelines on things like dealing with the media and member privacy... to set universal standards for what those groups consider best practise for Jedi groups.

It would probably have to be limited to things like that, as extending it to things like knighthood standards is probably pushing it too far

It would require even more stringent guidelines.,

TOTJO backers would want certain things, FA would want certain things, IJRS would have requirements..

But, that is WAYYY in the future...:)

Not to mention the offline groups....
