Having said that, I will take a stab at interpreting your dream, since you asked. I have had quite a few dreams like this myself over the years. It typically involves a desire for greater freedom from the limitations of circumstance or possibly even a frustrated yearning for the achievement of specific goals that feel like they should be easier to accomplish than they are proving in actuality to be. Running because it's fun can symbolize a desire to experience a higher level of conscious awareness, and all the freedom and power that attends it. But be careful, because it can also indicate a susceptibility to either hastiness or ego inflation.
The fact that you always start out at the location where you fell asleep probably indicates that you approach life with practicality, forming your goals based on where you are in life, instead of constantly gazing up at the clouds of desirable fantasy. Either that, or you may (also?) feel trapped in some way by your current life situation, even if the "escape" you seek is simply to outgrow the limiting beliefs of your past, probably by the practical application of reason.
A lot can hinge on what the nature of the obstacle is that you are leaping over, and whether it relates in any way to your surroundings or recent life events (which are really just temporal surroundings). For example, leaping over boulders, earthen fixtures, castle walls, etc, can symbolize a desire to overcome the simple-minded orthodoxies of the world that threaten to keep us grounded in blindness forever. Or a desire to transcend obsolete traditions, systems, etc.
Feeling the fact that doubting your ability to fly would cause it to fail says to me that you are committed to the belief that faith of some kind is the only way to transform yourself for the better. I don't know if that's faith in the Force or God, faith in yourself as a Jedi, faith in the support of those who love you, etc (my feelings tell me all of the above) but whatever it is, you enjoy experiencing it and exploring with the strength it gives you.
If you find in the dream that you also need to maintain focus on mentally keeping yourself aloft, as though you are flying by using the Force, it shows you desire accomplishment of and control over the effecting of the freedom you seek, as opposed to having it given to you, or as the result of some deus ex machina, or temporary escapism, etc.
I hope some of this proves helpful, Brother.

Well, first of all, no one is more capable of interpreting your dreams accurately than you. The exact symbolism of your dreams is always centered on you and your personality, even though it is rooted in universal archetypes. (Or if a dream is a Force vision then symbolic interpretation probably doesn't apply.)b.murphy wrote: i dont think this really goes here, but in the little sleep i got before my daughter woke me up again, i had a dream that i often have. though i have not had one in about a year. in this dream, its always the location i am curently at, and i am running, not out of fear but fun, and an obsticle comes into my path, I leap over it, and while in the air because i know i can, i fly. i am flying knowing that if i doughted it i would fall. it is quite the rush. does any one have any insight on this? sorry about spelling, i am still groggy

thank you for the response. I do find it usefull and i should have also described the obsticle. it depends where i am in te world. though it is most of the times small, like a small gate for a cross walk, it is easy to go around. to ansewer your question about belief, i believe god and the force are one and the same. with that said, in my dream knowing i can fly lets me fly, and i know that if i should ever second guess that i will be ale to fly, when i try and fly over the obsticle, i fall and get scuffed up. but the feel of flying even if i stay only 10ft of the ground, is total hapiness.i hope this describes it better.

I looove topics like these. It's so neat to hear everybody’s amazing experiences. Some are just too cool for school.
Once when I was a little girl my mom took us shopping with her. There was one of those toy machines where you put fifty cents in and get some dinky little toy. I put my money in and got a magnifying glass, but "because I had already done that yesterday" I gave it to my sister. I didn't need two. Too bad it turned out I hadn't actually been to the store the other day and I had never gotten a "first" magnifying glass. It was so weird because I could swear I had. The proof, however, showed otherwise, and my sister ended up with a toy I really wanted. lol

Sorry if I am repeating this but it fits...
It wasn't the first time something like this happened to me but it is one of the most vivid.
After my last break-up, I did a lot of soul serching, having been divorced previously. I was half meditating / half praying to find the 'one' I was always meant to find. Almost like a flash I saw a women with long dark hair with two children, a boy and girl.
Within days I met a woman. She has twins, a boy and girl and she is from Columbia. we started talking and she wasn't exactly looking for a 'gringo', we hit it off, like we have always known each other. Desite our differences, we are very much alike in many important ways and compliment each other.
A year and a half later, we are getting married in December.
And on one of our first dates we had a photo taken that looked almost exactly like the image I saw, only now with me in the photo.
