Personally, I love breasts, and also find society's obsession with hiding them to be a little off

At least one person was disturbed by my post http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/General-Discussions/68700-Your-Favorite-Poems---Why-dont-you-post-them-here?limit=10&start=20#69222 as you can see in the post that immediately follows it.

Is anyone else upset with the breasts and the graphic sex scene?

I know you've already heard from me, but I just wanted to say that I find those comic poems to be pretty funny. I like the way the words flow (and the pictures are just fine).

The question to ask oneself would be "why is this disturbing ?" Is is 'disturbing' because it disturbs me ? or, is it because I have learnt that this sort of thing is 'disturbing' and shall act accordingly, with outrage and disgust ? Our bodies, their sexual nature, their nature to shit or to sweat and all of their natural functions are not unwholesome. The intention only must be right ; it is only the intention which can corrupt ...

Whereas modesty is virtuous, false modesty is as much of a lie, a pretence, as anything other which is false.

If one feels something ill about a phenomenon that comes to light, ask the question at the beginning. If one only 'thinks' that the phenomenon disturbs some hegemonic consensus of what is 'appropriate', contemplate that thought before making a judgement.

Sweeping anything you've been taught to disapprove under a rug, or under a mountain of 'acceptable' things, doesn't make it non existent. It just puts it in the realm of charlatans and thieves, hidden in the shadows from where it can emerge at any moment ...

Be a philosopher ; but, amidst all your philosophy, be still a man.
~ David Hume

Chaque homme a des devoirs envers l'homme en tant qu'homme.
