Maybe you just need to recharge your batteries? Have a weekend away or something?

As to what is the cause of them...I don't know. Overwork? Stress? Insufficient challenge?

Sometimes things don't have a particular cause, they just are the way they are.

I know what a good bit of mine is from. It's simply that the summer brings out a boredom that rubs in certain circumstances one would rather wish to forget about sometimes I suppose.

Summertime can monotonous. I feel like the best way to break that is to get out of your routine. Switch some things up. If you normally read before bed, read right when you get up. Go out for lunch instead of staying in.

Incorporate EXERCISE! That will get your endorphins racing too.

for me summer is the same as winter....hot, hot, hot(love the florida weather with all its heat and unpredictable monsoons)...i don't find it monotonous, probably because i find something new everyday...that's the key, find a new distraction everyday...learn something new, try something new....i can't stand monotony so i'm always trying new things, making new discoveries etc...for me it's an everyday thing and not just a summertime thing...

Summer in England sucks ass big time and it's starting to get a little depressing. We've had the wettest June & July on record and there doesn't seem to be an end to it. I like a bit of rain but this is getting beyond a joke.
Luckily I'm off to Turkey in a weeks time so I'll get plenty of sun there! Hopefully I'll bring the sun back with me on my return!
I get S.A.D in the winter but when summer turns up, the extra sunlight makes things all better B) maybe the summer blues is the reverse of S.A.D, too much sunlight??

Can I come? :woohoo:

Haha PLEASE bring some sun back. You'd probably be given a Knighthood or something.

I swear this happens every year now though...wettest summers on record, dryest and warmest autumns and winters...maybe we should just switch all of our seasons around?
