What I want to know is how I can see these videos. If they are online please post the links.
My first instinct was to tell you to make the parody. But on second thought I think you should make the parody. I realize this advice might get you into trouble, or worse, get me into trouble. I confess to being especially fond of a good parody.
Remember that you're if a far better position to judge the pro's and con's of this than any of us. Be good but if you can't be good - be careful.

I was just listening to an Alan Watts audio book today. It was about Buddhism and Zen. Having listened to the whole book on a ride back from Cleveland, OH I had plenty of time to think about how the lessons applied to me...and now you.
Zen talks about sitting in meditation for hours. Some people think this is a waste of time and you could be doing something more. The Zen philosophers state that by meditating and doing "nothing" they are not adding to the chaos of the world, and that if more people did "nothing" and reflected on their own existence, the world would be more peaceful.
I would tend to agree. Sometimes, No Action is the Greatest Action to take.

This is NOT the Jedi answer, but people need to apply some humor in their lives, because it's already being taken too seriously, I (if I had the writing skill to do such a video) would write up a parody not of their video, but of the reaction everyone else has in regards to said video.
But that is me, because I feel people need to lighten up and recognize things for what they are: A literary piece written by people who were passionate about what they created.

While I can sympathize with how you feel (smugness is one of the things that just really, really gets under my skin >_<)I think that you have been offered good advice by everyone in this topic. While you may view the video as funny, it probably won't come off that way to the people at the school, since you're threatening their good opinions of themselves with the video. As Akkarin said, their actions speak for themselves, there's no need to poke fun at them with a video (although I don't see the harm in acknowledging your feelings by blowing off steam in private).
Just remember -- if someone is really "that good" they don't need to say anything at all -- everyone already knows! If they are self promoting, they probably aren't as good as they say they are

I'd have to agree with jestor, it sounds like you want to do the video for your own personal reasons...do what you feel you must do, but consider the outcomes for your choices before you act so that you may act without regret...not everyone has the same sense of humor, so not everyone gets the joke the same way...

tell them to chill and relaxe and just ignore them. they will get nowhere in life with that attitude. strict people are boring and so they should be left alone.
