General discussions

Sometimes the amount of actual discussion going on in the forum is quite low

We get lots of posts but many of them are just journal and introduction posts

That is no bad thing of course, but the amount of actual discussion about real issues is sometimes not as frequent as it can be. This is of course no one's fault

But I wanted to make this post to remind people that it is encouraged that you start a topic we can all have a friendly informed discussion about

So if you see an interesting internet article or a story that strikes your interest then I encourage you to share it with us

Well said, Akkarin. The temple forums are a place for discussion, but that does not necessarily mean that discussion will be occurring every time each individual Jedi signs on. And not every Jedi is looking to participate in discussion, and sign in for the sole purpose of updating their journals.

All the posts are being read, however, so I hope no one feels that they're being ignored or undervalued. When people have something helpful to put forward on a thread, they may do so, but they are in no way obligated to act as such.

And if you're looking for a chat, just put a notice in the shout box that you'll be in chat and invite others to join you. Though please, for the love of the Force, don't clog up the shout box unnecessarily. It's for announcements first and foremost, if someone needs immediate help or wishes to say hello to the group at large. It is not a chat room.

i love discussions but some are for no reason and others are just repeats of whats been said. but im not complaining for i repeat myself and say random things sometimes. but really though there sould be like a weekly discussion thing that pops up for anyone. even though there in the different forums this weekly thing should be different.

Err...I didn't actually specifically request a bump of this thread. But obviously when you're drinking vodka anything someone says can sound like 'Please bump the General Discussions thread' :laugh:

vodka sounds more like 'post rambling nonsensical delusions of grandeur' to me than 'please bump the gen discussions thread'.
