Well, I guess the two of you (Daniel Jones and Br. John) have gotten to Setanaoko. When I logged into youtube today I noticed she had a new video up.

Well...I guess on the plus side we got an honorable mention.

Gather at the River,
Setanaoko Oceana

.... As far the main message goes, Setanaoko tells you to investigate before making a decision...

Sound advice....

I see no negativity here, only some facts... The Tesco Incident, and the Job Center Incident, will forever be a part of our history....

Do anyone think these will be the last? I just saw a picture of a Snow Trooper and another character as bell ringers for the Salvation Army...

We all try to take things with a light heart here at TOTJO... It is why we have a 'fun area'.....

Although we are taken as a joke in these incidents, we would be taken as jokes no matter what the occurance until more people get what it is we are doing....

Overall, a good video.....

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

Actually I know Setanaoko quite well and I can say with a lot of sincerity that the videos message was not aimed at TOTJO in any intentional negative manner. Jones and company....yes, but not TOTJO.

I like the video. I can't tell if she referred to me as \"Briar\" or \"Friar\" John Phelan. I do know that many do not know that Br. is shorthand for Brother.

Even if I run the risk of unpopularity I see little importance in the collectivity of Jediism as presented in the video. The Jedi realism as presented in some other Jedi sites as I`ve seen kind of gave me an kind of \"amputated\" feeling of Jediism. So whereas CoJ seems to get quite a bit of flak, a community apparently with which you`d have to be a loon to identify with, I also don`t really identify with the others either. Also the history of Jediism I`ve experienced has absolutely nothing to do with that of the other sites. One site doesn`t accept the training nor the titles of the other, just to name one issue. So why not just leave us as individual communities instead of sqeezing the square peg through a round hole and trying to pull off the typical \"ecumenical christian\" stunt.

Once again GM FrJon says it how I see it - jest more eloquently :D

Why the sudden desire to be one big group og happy bunnies - if you gonna use the catholic church as an example - I can think of a bigger group more divided.

I like the ranks - I like the training - Im not ijto the Starwars bit personally - i like the freedom of expressive individuality the rites offer to those who feel them necessary - i dont like being thrust into a big pan of of mixed others and being told 'THIS is how you are gonna practise your faith now'

It wont be MY faith anymore.

Lord Have Mercy! Please don't read anything in what I said about liking the video. I posted while trying to chat with someone on Skype while working on an insulin shot at the same time. (I won't mention that I also desperately needed to poo, as that's way too much information, but it happens to the best of us.)

I like the digs at Holyhead CoJ Ltd. I don't give a flip about unifying all the Jediism organizations.

I would like to have a list of all the links to organizations that claim to be practicing Jediism for interest and to see what other folks think, but the variety of choices is good for everyone.

The one thing we all do appear to agree with is that Jones & Company are posers, genuine fakes and media whores. They are role playing fools pretending to be a church.

I think that organising a discussion between sites/groups would be good just to share ideas and connect. We can organise the \"Jediist directory\" at the same time. I think we all realise that the individuality of each Order and their practises should not be compromised. I wouldn't dream of telling another organisation how to practise their Jediism and I hope that they would not do the same to me!

If you do decide to do this I would ask that a neutral site be used and not this place. I already know about what some notable sites for example think about Jediism as a religion never mind our doctrine. You can never garantee for feelings, no matter how noble intentions may be, and I don`t think we will do members who are trying to find solid ground any amount of service at all.

If we do set up a simple directory with its own URL we'll have to have minimum requirements for inclusion.

A clear concise statement of core beliefs is a must.

Do you have a Creed, Code or Doctrine?

Is there an organizing document like articles of association or incorporation?

Are you a religious order, a church, an interest group discussion site or a realist secular organization?

It can't be that anyone can just register a domain, throw up a forum and get on the list. Then all credibility is shot.

This is not a complete list but some things to consider.
