Please forgive my drawing a blank of this. I'm getting used to a new diabetes medication and on antibiotics which have be running slow. We all know who Church of Jediism Ltd is. So you are with Church of Jediism CYF? What does that CYF stand for and is there a website? Thank you very much for your kind donation.

No worries John, we all understand the effects of medication.

We are and never were Church of Jediism Ltd, but Church of Jediism CYF. I would've thought seeing as you seem to know so much about British law you'd know what cyf stands for? Look in a Welsh dictionary.

You are of course most welcome, I look forward to hearing back from you regarding how and where it [the donation] is going to be spent.

Mr. Fobre...or what ever your real name is...

Not every individual on this site knows every piece of British law, so instead of playing the bullbait game, you could actually answer the question perhaps?

If you want the various sites to get along, one way is to clarify these issues we have with your \"order\" and be forthright with your answers.

But as it stands right now, CoJ is not only continuing to isolate themselves from the larger community, of which there is only maybe a 1000 world wide practitioners, not the 300,000+ in the UK alone that CoJ makes sure to claim on near weekly basis.

There are a ton of things that I can get into that sheds not just bad light on CoJ but cast them in a near cult like organization.

This holier then thou attitude that you and CoJ's \"leader\" Daniel Jones have with not only the community but the outside world is something that your group needs to change, not others in the community. Such behaviour as witnessed in the response to John Phelan, is NOT very condusive to showing your so called Jedi beliefs. It only shows immaturity and tactics that are hostile to everything but your own view.

I originally contacted your group after the Tesco incident, in which case I would've hoped that your group would pick up the hint that such ridiculous actions. (ie: Suing Tesco's for their policy, which inhibits crime) only go to making you look bad but everyone surrounded with the name Jedi look bad. You are told time and again, your actions reflect on everyone, and a Jedi is mindful of things like this, your group is not.

In short as this could turn into a 25 page rant. You claim you are trying to clear up this issue, great. Then how bout answer questions, be accountable and actually look at your actions for what they are and then maybe, just maybe the respect your group wants will begin to build.

Hi Xan. You're not catching me at my best today and I could not get Christian Youth Foundation out of my head and I was headed for the book when I remembered that in Wales Cyf is a suffix for a private company limited by shares. It means the same as Limited or Ltd.

The Holyhead CoJ is now following the UK requirement that a company limited by shares give notice on letterheads, business cards and publications of their status by putting Ltd or Limited after their name. In Wales UK Cyf may also be used.

I do have a law degree with honors. I believe Baral Forbe is implying that I have not memorized every single word of UK law and he is correct. I do not have all the laws in the US memorized either.

The Holyhead CoJ cyf has donated $40 US dollars to us and I say Thank You. Baral Forbe is interested in exactly where the money will go and I don't know yet. As it is a general funds donations and was not directed for a specific purpose it's commingled with all other donations and so part might go to pay the lease on the server this month and part might go to renew domain names and so on. All I can guarantee is that it must go to either pay the operating expenses of TOTJO or to another charitable purpose.

We've always asked our members to donate to their favorite causes personally since often their is a local endeavor that is close to their heart. One of my personal favorites is The E.J. Empty Stocking Fund that provides Christmas gifts to children who otherwise would not get any. This is a local charity in my county of Jefferson Texas.

On donations the priorities are first our necessary operating expenses. Second - upgrades to our site like purchasing a new module or component to improve member services. Third - held in savings for future emergencies or expenses.

One way we help causes is by giving them valuable banner space at no cost. For everyone who registers there are thousands who read the site and they do click on those banners.

If there are anymore questions please post though I might not answer until tomorrow. These blasted antibiotics have almost left me with a dead head.

Dear John,

It's great to hear how our money shall be spent - it's good to know it's being thought about at least.

You said you ask members to \"donate to their favorite causes\" and that is what I have done - donated to one of my favourite causes, that being the TotJO. The upkeep of this website is of course essential and necessary to keep the Jediist community alive and vibrant. As with our website and many others, too.

Hope the meds don't keep you down for too much longer,

As for that picture you posted on the other thread, Ren, I'm not sure if you know but Barney is actually an actor and that picture was taken whilst he was in a performance - he doesn't smoke and he is actually the nicest guy I know.

Why does everyone have a problem with that picture? I didn't make a single comment about it. I was simply wondering what happened to that guy. Great he's an actor, I thought he was a hairdresser, still is a lot better than a hoodie at the local jobcentre. I typed his name in google images, didn't find him, went on his facebook profile... And there it was...

There were also a couple of videos of him and daniel on youtube, playing with diet cola and some mentos, but the quality wasn't very good, I wasn't sure people would be able to recognize him so I didn't bother.

Barney is in good health, living in happiness away from major Jediism organisations.

As for the Ltd, research what CYF means. We're based in Wales, to give you a clue.
