Issue with Jediism article on Wikipedia was created by
I'm not to sure if this is a recent development but it's one that is rather concerning to the community. But it appears that the Jediism article on Wikipedia now only links to the Church of Jediism, ie the group run by Daniel Jones (the Tesco affair, bin bag Darth Vader). Now as this affects not just TOTJO but all Jedi sites on the web. I think TOTJO does 2 things. One constantly place the link to TOTJO back on the article and 2,contact Mr.Jones and company and let them know that they are not the ONLY resource on the web and that this type of tactic only proves how desperate they are.
It's time to fight back and make your voice heard.

We're researching this at the moment but if anyone has knowledge of Wikipedia's convuluted systems and wants to help us to add stuff to it, then we're happy for that help! I would like to see a lot more information about Jediism, orders other than the CoJ, etc. But everything needs to be backed up by credible third-party sources, or so I am led to believe.

This is just a quick caution. I have much more to say.
If we keep reversing deletions or adding links back we'll be called vandals and get IP's banned now matter how in the right we are. It is imperative to participate in the Talk section connected to the article before any changes are made so as to get the arguments sorted out ahead of time.
Yes the article makes is seem as the entire world of Jediism revolves around the Holyhead Church of Jism.

Wiki is like the taliban - theirs is the only point of view that matters.
Now back in the real world - everyone knows the info on wiki often leaves much to be desired - 99% of educational establishments wont accept wiki as a 'source' of factual material.
What im tryng to get at is this - whilsts is dissapointing this has happened it ought not be a shock and neither something to be overly steamed up about.
TOTJO is possib;y the largest web jediism group and the search engine figures show this, how about presenting thi8s small verifiable FACT to the monkeys at wiki?
Just an idea...
May I also suggest that all true jediism communities create and publish a public statement along the lines of CoJ DO NOT in anyway way shape or form, represent themselves (the publishing body) or the wider Jedist community.
The wiki thing being just one of many starws that have brojken the camels back over the recent years.
EVERYTHING I have put in this post is MY and only MY opion of this matter and I am NOT speaking or representing TOTJO policy.
THE TOTJO EC or suitable representative(s) will post any such decisions etc in a suitable place and I Rich L hereby exercise my rite as a TOTJO user to post my thoughts in this public forum - anyone with isuue can take them up with me and NOT TOTJO as a corp etc

Well it seems even after providing legal proof of one orders legal existance (Coelescere Covenant is a legal church within the state of Nebraska), Wikipedia is being down right hostile to include information that is less hostile then what is currently displayed. Coelescere's founder Rivan Elan is engaging Wikipedia on the said bias and has ask to see the sections of legal text where any additions to the article made would be in violation. He's also stated on the talk thread that such blatant hostility towards us as a community (and by this I mean all Jedi followers) could be a sign of bias themselves and is looking to see if their is legal recourse.
Br.John, I know you and I have had our own issues in the past, but as TOTJO is a legal church within the state of Texas. you may want to look into this yourself. If Wikipedia's management provides a link to such recourse, it may be of service to TOTJO and indeed all of the Jedi community.

Both are legal churches in all fifty states and United States territories. In states where a minister must register with a county clerk and get a license to conduct marriages we've never had a problem. You are not just a church in one state. If you were going to build a building and hold physical services in another state you'd probably need to register and pay a fee as a foreign corporation but nonetheless if you're a church in one state you're a church in all of them.

Just registered with the JRC so I could view the group details. You're right, that is our logo they're using. I shall bring this matter up with the Council.

Would someone please take a screen shoot of the page and post it. They may honestly believe it's THE symbol for Jediism and not realize it's our Trademark so let's be gentle.
