TOTJO- Proposals and issues for 27th Jan `09 was created by Jon
Starting from 27th Jan `09 a meeting of our Knights will be called once every two weeks at 21:00 hrs (GMT) for 2 hrs in chat to discuss proposals for our Temple. These proposals will be brought to the EC for consideration. I invite all the membership to post any ideas, proposals or concerns here. If there is anything you do not wish to voice publically but still wish to be considered please be free to PM me Grand Master Jon. Although we cannot guarantee the passing of all motions, at the very least they will be brought to light.

I propose that we increase the minimum training time for all apprenticeships. I'd suggest a year. It seems more fitting that the minimum amount of time be increased to therefore strengthen the Jedi Order, preventing more of these fights and schisms. Before I even had a Master, I contributed alot to the fighting. In fact, I believe I was the cause of the \"Hitler\" business, that fortunately, died down. Therefore, I'd like to propose that we make a better training system for initiates. Not so that they can learn more, or rather, too much, but so that the inexperienced die down, and that the initiates see just how challenging the road ahead of them is. Perhaps a more challenging introductory course, or, a more intense one?
Furthermore, I propose, to prevent inactive apprenticeships, the Master and apprentice must get together atleast once a week, or the apprenticeship is absolved. I'm really tired of apprentices going untrained. It's not fair. And I also suggest to the Masters that they come on more, unless something serious has come up. Because when you take on an apprentice, you can't only teach them when it's convinient for you, you should bend your schedule because your apprentice is worth it.
That's all from my end of the table! MTFBWY-A!

Also, not only should Masters be active, but they should be OVER active. It's not fair leaving an apprentice in the dust if you don't like things at the temple, because they are WORTH more than just your time.
Because some of us are ACTUALLy serious students.

I propose that the Meeting be an open meeting or that there be a person assigned to informing the other Knights about what when on at the meeting if a Knight can not make it.
By open Meeting I mean that the official meeting last for 2 hours but also allow and expect late entry. In other words that the meeting stay open until the end of the day or until the Last person has left the chat room.

Everyone will has the chance to post their suggestions here. If someone misses the meeting they can bring this up in the one 2 weeks later. The discussions will be summerised for all to see in the Forum. A time limit has been set up to facilitate the gathering of info and make it manageable.

I echo GrandMaster Hans' confidentiality statement. If any of you would like to make a proposal, and not have it in the public eye, you may shoot me a PM as well.
Submitted issues WILL be addressed.

OK - here is an idea
Someone attending the meeting - not a fixed person - each meeting - is nominated the chair for the event - this person is also to make a not of the discussions and then post it on the forum - but NO NAMES (ie names of the person speaking) will be posted (ie some editing of names out will be necessary)
Or - the knights amongst themselves could nominate a master who isnt on ec to do this for them - this person would have ZERO input into the knights discussions - simply minutes keeper.
As for suggestions to topics to be discussed
Training (all sub topics anyone cares to name including initiates and apprentices and all topics therein)
Manner/Protocol/General Behaviour In chat and on blogs/forums
Services/stuff you want to see added tot he site in general - be they forum sections, or just other facilities (remember this is a temple n not an amusement arcade)
As a final point - not a criticsm - Angelus wrote

Whilst I agree somewhat in theory - the practicalities do not always allow such ideal - in simple terms - the realworld. What if for example someone is taken ill suddenly, the phone connection is cut or something like this to prevent access to the internet?
Unlike the fictional Jedi - we are not funded (paid for) by the senate - thus work is a major isuue as well as family things - we cannot always be around 24/7 - also - think on this - even the fictional Jedi apprentices were left unsupervised by masters for long periods (weeks or more) the idea was to teach self sufficiency and actually I not only agree with the idea but Ive used it too - it teaches the apprentice to realise that their master will not alwys be around.
Also - many of the Masters here whilst seemingly not 'active' on the front end are in fact very very busy behind the scenes - this site (and others like it) take much more to run than many realise
Final point - this is for everyone to make suggestions for, its your temple so have your say - and if you dont contribute here (when your handed the chance) dont moan about xyz not being done in future

I forgot an important proposal - ok - this makes me a butt kisser if it suits but this is heart felt
BrJohn to be announced Grand-Master
No disrespect to the other GM's - nothing is further from the truth - but as founder of our Church I believe this is only right and fitting.
However _ i cannot make these decisions myself and John is not the sort of person to proclaim himself as such.
Something for the Knights to chew on - and then pass to EC if they so wish.

Oh - id like a pay rise please - and more coffee breaks and a secretary, a nice bl....

Firstly I would like to thank Angelus Master Daniel and Master Rich for their imput so far. Every thought and impulse will be taken seriously. I also encourage other members to add to this and help improve our Temple. Until these meetings become more familiar however I will moderate and document them without adding any personal imput.
