First of all, I apologize for making you uncomfortable and for seeming hostile. You should never be made to feel uncomfortable here. To be clear, I was never trying to aim any hostility towards you and I am sorry if it came across that way.
My best advice? Stay away from the hostile people and associate with others who are more...mellow.

I'm sure I'll lose points for this....
Are you currently facing hostility?
Are you in immediate danger?
If either are those are a "Yes" - Deal with the threat.
If both of those are a "No", relax. Sit back into your chair (unless it doesn't have a back on it, then be careful, you might fall off) take a few deep breaths, pour yourself a nice glass of water, and do the IP

Hey wolfboy, good to see you again!
The main thread that you're referring to is a discussion on recent politic events that occurred in the US.
As always, people are highly opinionated and highly passionate about their politics. Sometimes people get a bit over excited and discussions get a little heated.
I'm sure nobody meant, or wanted, to make you feel uncomfortable.
I'd advise taking a couple of the comments posted in that thread with a pinch of salt

I try to use my anger as a tool. Once my initial burst of outward anger (never directed at an individual) is through I let it simmer and fuel an honest and logical examination of my motivations, my goals, and what my next step should be.
Cooler heads might prevail in a calm environment, but in the moment...well, it isn't that simple.
In any case, my apologies.
Edit: No, it isn't a light manner. I do take it seriously. Don't mistake my "anger" or my "passion" for not taking something seriously.

As much as such topics are not fun to talk about, one can argue that as Jedi we need to know about it. Here I pull from the Knights Code:
A Knight is sworn to valour.
Valour is great courage in the face of danger. This whole issue is dangerous. The fact that alt-right extremists still exist is dangerous. So we are sworn to have courage in the face of it.
His heart knows only virtue;
Virtue is behaviour showing high moral standards. I think this goes without saying that a Jedi should be wary of falling into the ways of this hateful movement...
His blade defends the helpless;
We cannot defend the helpless if we don't know of it. I still run into people that didn't know the Charlottesville issue was happening to begin with, so how can people fight against a cause they don't know exists?
His word speaks only truth;
To hide the truth is to also not speak the truth, imo. To not talk about this, then, could be seen as hiding or not speaking the truth.
His Shield shelters the forsaken;
Again, as with the defending the helpless, we cannot shelter anyone if we don't know they need to be sheltered.
His courage gives hope to the despairing;
It is in times of great strife that the courageous lead. The despairing flock to those strong enough and brave enough to take a stand against this oppression.
His justice undoes the wicked;
Nazi = Wicked. Simple as that.
His image brings peace;
Again, Jedi bring peace. So we must be knowledgeable of the events happening to avoid spreading chaos, misinformation, or lies that would not be beneficial to peace.
His code breaks the darkness;
Nazi = Wicked again. Jedi break the darkness by their actions, words, and way. A Jedi should not stand idly by while this kind of stuff happens in the world.
His legend brings light.
We break darkness... but we also bring light to fill where the darkness was. Darkness cannot exist where there is light, but again there cannot be light without darkness. So we strive to push back the darkness in an never ending battle by its very nature.
I am not yet a Knight, but that does not mean I cannot start following such a code. Yes, this issue bring about some hostility. "Freedom of speech" vs "Wait a minute this is straight up hate" and such. I can imagine coming back to this place and being presented with such a thread may be... overwhelming. But for now, Wolfboy, just focus on training. This too shall pass.

As regards the conversation in chat about this, wolfboy: I think we all acknowledge (or at least, I definitely acknowledge) that back in the day there were good, bad, and in the middle people who fell under the heading of "Nazi." And you're right; probably quite a few of them went along with the regime even after it became evident what was going on, out of fear for their own lives.
The issue at hand, though, is modern Nazis and other white supremacy groups. Except in the case of minors living at home, every single one of these modern hate group members has a choice about their ideology. And every single one of the chooses hate every day.

I would like to apologize to Wolfboy as well, I posted a rant post earlier that I feel some what guilty for writing in that way. It was a built up thing targeted at no one in particular.
Wolf and any others. I do apologize.
These things do not happen to me often.

Wolfboy - thank you for sharing your concerns here. In cases like this, I'm reminded of a favorite quote from Jestor, a Jedi who has been around for quite a while. He likes to say that "we are not perfect Jedi, we are practicing Jedi." No matter how long we train and practice, sometimes we still let our emotions get away from us. These are opportunities to learn and improve. As you can see here, you have already given many of us reason to look at our own behavior and decide if our reactions to this topic were appropriate.
Don't let this adversity discourage you. See it as a challenge. It is an opportunity to grow and learn, and you have already proven by making this post that you have the courage to face it.
