So, uh, everyone is doing these and since I've only been here for two monthsish, I thought it would be a good idea so people can get to know me a bit better

I see myself with at least 3! I have 1 right now, Hermes, but I do feel like he is lonely when I leave the house so getting 1 or 2 more will be for his benefit. A lonely cat is a sad cat, at least 1 or 2 more will give him someone to play with so that he is happy
Thank you for the question!

I know you are from Puerto Rico originally. How would you feel about the island becoming a state in the U.S.?
What do you call a carbonated beverage? In California, most of us call it a "soda", but I know people in the Midwest of the U.S. who call it "pop". So which is it?
And now the real test... Would you rather be itchy for the rest of your life or sticky for the rest of your life?

Thanks for the questions, Senan! I'll answer them in the order I received them
1. I think the Island and it's people would benefit greatly. At the moment, we are not able to vote for President and don't even have a representative in the House of Representatives or even a Senator. The way my mom puts it, the people on the island are like the people in D.C where they pay taxes but aren't represented. By becoming a state, it will help with the budgeting (that is a current mess right now.....something about corruption) and the (hopefully), corrupted politicians will be held accountable. I think education will be better too! I'm not saying that the education sucks because I got a decent one before I left, but I also do think that (along with better budgeting) becoming a state will help educators have better access to technology and the students would benefit greatly from it. It would be a positive for it to become a state, but from what mom tells me (since she's lived there two times in the past 17 years or so), a lot of people don't want it. I don't know the reasons behind it though
2. In Northern Virginia we call it "soda" but in the south part, "pop". I like to joke that northern Virginians are a different breed of Virginians, we are in NO way like those in the South. I never really thought about it until I went down south to Richmond and saw how different people act there, lol. So, yeah, I call it soda xDDD
3. I would rather be itchy than sticky. There is medicine to alleviate itchiness and the discomfort that comes with it.....there is NOTHING that can prevent us from being sticky. Plus, I think being sticky would be a pain when it comes to leading a normal life, haha.

Because of the amethyst. My favorite stone is the amethyst because of the attributes that go with it. I always fidget with one when I meditate and have always loved the shade of purple that it holds. I'm sure that you know what the attributes are but I'll go ahead and link this for an idea (http://meanings.crystalsandjewelry.com/amethyst/).
Also, purple is just one pretty color
Thanks for the question :side:

If you could live anywhere for a year - outside of the US or Puerto Rico - where would you live, why, and what would you do while you were there?

I would live in Sibiu which is located in Transylvania, Romania. I like it because it is a city with history and I love history. There is part of the city that is very modern but there is also a part that looks straight out of the history books. They have very beautiful Monasteries there that have existed for hundreds of years and tell quite a story. Farther north of the city you can see the Transylvanian countryside and the Carpathians. I love the beauty and mystery of the Carpathians and it is one of my dreams to go hiking there. Sibiu is also about 4 hours away from the capital of Romania, Bucharest, where I could go and visit many museums, historic locations, and the few friends I have that live there.
I wouldn't live there for too long though, I'd say maybe a year or 2 depending in what happens. If I were to live there for a bit and were to find a love interest, I may as well just stay, haha. I guess it all depends.....after all, I am very much close to my family and I would hate to leave them for too long!
As for what I would do there, I suppose I would find a job teaching English (which they always need!), volunteer at the adoption centers (unfortunately, Romania has a lot of children in need of adoption), attend church (as a guest so I can learn more about Orthodox Christians), and, when vacation comes, go enjoy the countryside! Riding horses is a big thing in Romania so I'm sure I would be doing that CONSTANTLY! Aside from that, I would travel the country and hit up the other cities like Targoviste (where Vlad the Impaler was born), Brasov (rich in history!), Cluj-Napoca, and much, much more. I would also love to visit the Roma there, after all, I do come from a line of Spanish Roma (or, gypsies) so I think they would welcome me . It's a beautiful country that doesn't get the love it deserves because of the problems of the past and the unfortunate crime that happens there......but there is crime everywhere, right?
thanks for the question!

Alrighty, you get round two of my new random questions list:
If you could have an accent, what would it be?
If you were a coldstone's ice cream order, what would you be and why?
What are your weirdest pet peeves?
