Well if its a competition the hangouts unofficial shout box has 30 plus members in there last I checked...

No offense, but not alot of people use this app, I don't see this taking off. Most people are still using Skype, Hangouts and slack...

It is not official, just another place/method some members like to use for chatting. Though sometimes platforms such as this are used for things like interviews or meetings which might need a bit of privacy, or in theory anything else that the sites chat does not support.

I'd never heard of Slack before but I've used Skype a bunch and Hangouts for a little while. Discord is a superior platform to both. And I'm on there any way - other Jedi groups are making the move because it's a better platform for building a community on.

I have yet to see any platform outdo slack, this article notes that Discord is tied to some kind of shady financial business?
