WW1 gave us the League of Nations which was the foundation of the UN. WW2 gave us the UN and the world bank. WW3 will end in world government. For nations to willingly submit to world government WW3 will need to be suitably bloody.

What can you do to help prevent it. Simple. Don't take up arms against other humans. Wars can not be fought without soldiers.

Continunig on this thought is world goverment truly good for humanity as a whole and for the jedi

Honestly? I don't think so. I believe that humans are far too diverse culturally for us to have a good single world government. Recently it seems as though the US is too diverse for one government. For a single ruling body to be effective over large areas covering diverse groups each region would have to be controlled separately and allowed wiggle room to change the rules in their area to fit with their cultural history. After a point those regions become so different that they aren't really connected to each other any more so being under one banner makes no sense. They have become, effectively, separate governments. So what's the point of having just one?

That's not to say that the ruling bodies can't form a coalition such as the UN and that it would be possible for all nations to someday be a part of such a group, but one actual ruling body? I don't think so.

Or, to quote Firefly "Unite all the planets under one rule so that everyone can be interfered with or ignored equally."

Short of an alien invasion or incoming meteor, I can't think of a scenario that would ever motivate the entire world to unite under one government, and even then, we would likely revert back to independent nations once the threat was gone. We are just too selfish and diverse as a species to ever cooperate on that kind of level.

Should we ever colonize Mars, you can bet on it that the first inhabitants will immediately start staking claim to their own piece of dirt and start putting a fence around it.

A couple years ago I was developing an RPG realm that basically sent the world into an apocalypses. Magic was involved that brought for the fantasy races of elves, ogers ect ect I also took an image of America and divided them into.....geesh...I want to say....4 or 5 governments or kingdoms (Depending on who ruled what) It was an interesting concept because it forced my players to take the country as we know it and behave in this new structure.

I think regardless of "Jedi" Human Beings are not meant to be so wide spread. We are herd minded and our herd can only go so far before we start turning on eachother in order to cull and lower the herds population to a more comfortable number. Natural Survival.

Unfortunately if the world continues the way it is going. We will be seeing a culling soon enough

I feel like we should attempt to avoid a culling of that sort at any cost

I don't think it would be good for anyone. The larger a gov't gets, the less likely it is to actually support the very varied nature of its citizens and offer fair rulings based upon those. There are too many different cultures, traditions, religions, races, orientations, languages, etc. for this idea to be effective in the majority of scenarios, imo.
