But the dems and reps not being at each others throats 24/7 is an important first step to a lot of changes that need to take place in this country.

So you can judge every single one of these people? You know them all and have spoke to each and every one of them to know that this is their belief and that is how they behave? Some how I think not.

Thats a very skewed and IMO outdated opinion. The main issue that British Politics facing at present is that all the parties are the same (or were until very recently). The Lib Dems are a Centralist Party, the current Conservative government is Right Leaning Centralist, the previous Labour governments (coincidentally many of whom were also educated at private schools and come from a middle class background) were Left Leaning Centralist.
The only change that has happened now is that Corbyn has been voted in as Labour Leader with policies from the 1970's disguised as a 'new kind of politics', which is threatening to divide a party that (I don't support) but is fundamental to British Politics as we know it.
Also, if you don't like the right wing Conservatives in the UK you would HATE American politics. In terms of the Democrats and the Republicans, America doesn't have a Left Wing (as we in the UK know it), they have a Conservative Party and a SUPER Conservative Party

See that confuses me  Because you're going to vote for a party that you just said promises things that 'are impossible to achieve'.
Which coincidentally is my exact problem with Corbyn. I agree with a massive amount of what he says because, socially, I'm left leaning (from the north after all  ). 'University should free', agreed! 'Healthcare should be free', agreed! 'We shouldn't need Nuclear Weapons', agreed! But Mr. Corbyn, how are you going to fund this? 'I haven't a clue' And thats my problem with his policies. 'Tax the rich' isnt an answer, the rich already pay about 40% of ALL tax in the UK.
And his comments about not pressing the button if we were under nuclear attack was ridiculous! Granted I wouldn't I press it either, but the point of it is to be a deterrent! You're not suppose to tell people that you wouldn't press it!
Though I fear we've completely hijacked this thread. Sorry John. Perhaps you'd like to continue this conversation over PM?
