Plagiarism Or Not? was created by
It appears Melania Trump may have 'borrowed' a few lines from Michelle Obama's speech to the Democratic National Convention in 2008 while delivering her speech last night to the Republican National Convention.

That, or someone loaded the wrong speech into the teleprompter... Plagiarism or not?

Warning: Spoiler!

Wow. I mean, there are only so many ways to say certain things, but that's pretty darn similar.

And here it is, the official statement saying that they did, in fact, plagiarize.

Not sure how to make it just visible here without having to download the file...

I'm not surprised at the content but surprised that they fessed up to it. Still I shake my head at the circus

To be fair, it happens on both sides.

actually, the way they "fessed up" was perfect; a staffer took responsibility for the whole thing. she said when preparing to write the speech, they spent a lot of time talking about people melanie likes and admires, and mrs obama was one of them. the staffer took notes from several speeches and it was all a big mix up (HER big mix up, nothing to do with the trumps) that resulted in the incident

then she said she offered her resignation, but of course donald is way to magnanimous to let go of a loyal employee over so simple a mistake, i mean we are all human right? its not like trump typically fires people who mess up or anything right?

how people take it is up to them, but this was handled brilliantly lol

i didnt think trump had a snowballs chance but since its him and hillary i think he may very well take it

People are complicated.

This case is a claim that has been debunked already. Try again.

Ah well if that is the case then I stand corrected. I had just heard of other examples of this happening on the radio and grabbed the first one that popped up in a search.
