I only drink in social situations because I find alcohol pretty disgusting (I don't like the way it makes me feel at all), but when I do need to have something in my hand, I'll nurse a Fuzzy Navel for hours. I used to open with an Irish Car Bomb to loosen me up at a party (I was always so nervous) and then do random shots (whatever someone else was paying for) every once in a while to keep the buzz. I don't party anymore... too old!

To all my Jedi of legal age, what are your preferred drinks? I'm a fan of decent whiskey, rum, brandy, etc. but am looking to expand my tastes.
I'm interested in both individual bottles or cocktails (even though my preferred poison is a neat scotch)

I have never been drunk but I feel better when I do not use it, being tipsy gives a very small headache.. or some kind of feeling that you would not normally have.., not sure how to say, but I do not use alcohol because of it.

I'm usually a cider-drinker, because I don't like beer and the whole pint-drinking thing is, well...quite a big thing in the UK. Cider, even in relatively small amounts, does give me much worse hangovers than anything else but...it tastes nice  :pinch:
I'm also quite fond of white wine (preferably Chenin Blanc but I'm not really fussy), rum (with coke) and Pimms (with lemonade).

When I beer( read: go out and buy myself), Blue Moon if only one choice, though an occasional Dragon's Milk would be nice.
Everyday living would be a flip flop between cheap merlot(6$? a bottle?) and (it is)rum over ice.
I will try anything, but these are the main stays.
I always have hot sake when I eat at Yellow Fin; Sort of a tradition.
Recognition award: Absinthe.

I've usually been a whiskey person, but my days of serious drinking are mostly behind me (thank the Maker). This time of year, a cold beer is nice on occasion, but I never got into micros or the dark stuff. I usually have a few Michelob Ultras on my fridge, don't judge me.
