I recently was recalling as a little seeing this movie for the first time. I only remember bits and pieces of it but it must of been important or I wouldn't have remembered it all these years. I didn't know the name of it but I decided to use key words and found it. Rented it and watched it just now. Honestly, I remember thinking it was cool it was scifish I always liked crystals and still do and always been a nerd but some of the movie I remembered was also scary for a 3 year old. Now at many years later I look back on it and think it was a pretty good movie but has a lot of elements and thremes I think we as Jedi can related to.
1. The contemporary world around us
The dome or "world" they lived in. Everything is great on thee inside food, everyone is young good looking, sex, pleasure, ect. But everyone is on a time clock at 30 everyone is required to die by some ritual death that claims once you die your reborn into the next place or heaven if you will. If you try to escape your killed. Anyone outside the norm is killed for thinking another way. Outside the box thinking
2. Mans need foir survival
Lol...its great up until its your turn then you're wanting to somehow survive by any means even outside the box.
3. The fear of "the powers to be" and our societies crumbled
The very elect will do anything to stop and uprising and loss of power over a people. When a free thinker arises the elect must put as stop to it quickly. Like a plague one person gets it soon if not contained it will spread and soon you're not dealing with one but two, three, ten, 100, ect. The power of one in history a proven fact has had the power to break through those false walls of security those "domes" and reveal what has always believed to be the sky was really only a ceiling and once broken the Truth is revealed and its not at all what it seems. These powers will do anything through deception, fear, division, war, ect to keep their thumb on the people.
4. Truth isn't always as it seems and should be shared.
Logan 5, was confused his whole life was a lie. When the truth was revealed and he was safe from all harm and he didn't have to go back to the dome civilization to reveal the lie but he did. The truth was so great the powers to be were destroyed. Sometimes the Truth some cannot handle because its contrary to what they've always believed ex: government, religion's ect.
