Jamie, I didn't call anyone's posts awful. I don't even find that they are, and if I had specific problems with any specific one, I'd quote and address that and not make generalized statements of the kind that I did. Since you quoted your elaboration on what you mean by the Force, I understand you are inviting me to comment, so here you go: It fits exactly what I said. It neither explains what you mean by it yourself nor what we collectively would mean by the Force. Now, if you find that this is awful, so be it. To me it is just a quality of the label and a far more devastating point is that we are fundamentally blocked from investigating the supernatural regardless.
Snowy, I understand why we don't have a common definition. I would dispute that how you put it is by any means a saying it clearly, especially not how in the post you were referring to you called it a reminder, and now in this one you are saying it is some kind of power. But the point is something I feel we agree on. If the Force is something else to everyone, and to some even completely different things at different times, then it is hard to argue that it is even a thing to all of us, since everybody means a different thing by it and seldom do even as many as two mean the same. So in the end we are left with the experiences as we have them and some of us attribute some of them to this label that can refer to everything and thus really refers not to anything.
Oh, and I never said we couldn't or shouldn't use this nebulous word for philosophical ponderings. If anything, I joined you in doing just that, have I not?

I preach the living Force. It lives in everything. But it is a piece of everything. Whether we call it the Force or not there are some who glow the Force so well it shines. That is not exclusively the Force Force... there is no name really for it but you can see a awakened difference in some who claim it. In others it blast radiance. I've seen the glow and have been the vessel for it at times during conversations and actions. For some of us our actions speak louder than words. When spirit meets spirit, there IS evidence. My personal hope is that I meet more with the glow than the no.

I wouldn't say I have had a single powerful experience that stands out above the rest. I have daily moments of affirmation of the Force as I recognize it flowing through the life (conscious or not) that I encounter.
BUT
from time to time, it becomes more than simply a passing moment of acknowledgement, and a spiritual feeling of elation. When I'm happy - happier than usual - or when things just fit into place in my life. When I'm feeling blessed by the good things in life, I'm more acutely aware of the Force. In those times, I close my eyes and let the feeling flow through me. Being with dear friends who understand me (I'm an introvert, so it doesn't happen often, ha ha!), a warm sunny, sweet-smelling day...
Yes, I rely heavily on the Force to sustain me in bad times, but I feel it most powerfully in good times.
