TOTJO's Endemic Problem

No one is a better person than someone else, whether they're a saint or a thief. Wiser, more knowledgeable, certainly. But not better. At the end of the day, we are just people.
I should have worded this better. I believe many of us are working to be better Jedi and better people than we were the day before, not better than anyone else. A large part of my own path is about personal improvement, being the best version of the person I can be. Part of that goal is also to help others here achieve the same and I think that's why these conversations are important to have.
Thanks for pointing this out and I hope this clears up my feelings a bit.

We have people from many different backgrounds and life experiences, but have a common interest in self-improvement and building others up. I always appreciate when people can express divergent opinions while practicing empathy and trying to see the point of view others have. I think that ability to see outside oneself is part of what makes a Jedi, and I like how often I see it here. I hope all feel welcome here and appreciated for what they do for the group.
I would like to say that empathy can be used in the opposite way too I am afraid, as with many things. Personally saying, empathy can hurt as much as it can help. And it is partly responsible for the origin and the solution of problems. When problems are faced together, the only possibility is to solve them together.

You have to admit that there is a point where we can't make everyone happy. You can't honestly believe that every person that comes here we can change ourselves to satisfy what they want? It's just not feasible.
And when I say it, as rarely as I do, I don't mean it in a mean, snobbish way. I mean it in a "maybe you'd be happier somewhere else" way. We're not for everyone, trying to be is foolish. Some people will just be happier elsewhere. That's not a bad thing, it's just that people are different. That's why there isn't just one Jedi group, hell, that's why there isn't just one religion. Different people like different things.
I hope that people understand how much I do want people who are here to be happy here. I feel like what I'm saying probably sounds like that's not true but it really is. I just also want people to be happy even if it's not here, because some people won't be happy here and I can't change that.
Steamboat, your comment helps nothing.... Its just criticism....
And, there's already plenty unhelpful criticism going round...

Thank you Jestor, I've been wondering what happened with all that.
Should I quit school and abandon my job search so I have more time to devote to solving TOTJO's endemic problem? No, I'd end up homeless and unable to even have a presence on the Temple's forums. Furthermore, I would argue that if these problems are endemic that it may be symptoms of a systemic problem which I think the Clergy as well as the Council have been trying to address, but we can't drop everything in our solve whenever a problem arises or we'd end up being the most ill curmudgeons of the Temple.
Frankly, I feel like there's a lack of understanding and patience here. These problems which have been articulated are big problems and they're not going to be solved overnight. There are many things in the works to try to address them. I'm sorry if it's not happening as fast as you'd like, but I don't really feel like it's fair to suggest we shouldn't care about anything else except these problems.
