There's that bad turn of phrase of mines again... when I said "WE would do the same", I meant the people in general, not us Jedi (coz obvz we are above that and shizz)
lol
in all seriousness though, confrontation is something I struggle with personally just now, as someone who has done a lot of things both right and wrong, I tend to justify another's actions against my own actions from the past...
I:E:- someone stole £10 from my house, I know the culprit and whereas before I would get mad about it and go out all guns blazing nowadays I seem to find a way in my mind of being calm about it and just distancing myself from the person (as obviously you don't want someone around you that's going to steal from you)...
It generally goes along the lines of... well S/he must have needed it more than I did, and who are you to condemn someone, it's not like you've never nicked something yourself, penny sweet from a shop, a flower from a garden, somebodies car.... doesn't matter what it was the relevance remains the same, and I think the distancing and inaction speaks volumes, don't get me wrong though I'm not all self righteous and forgiving... I still get mad about it... then I get a grip on myself and talk myself down....
I think the missus etc find it hard to deal with me being so what they deem as "passive" about it, I see it as looking at the bigger picture... best case scenario in any conflict would result in the return of £10 but at the cost of days / weeks / months spent worrying about it until I catch up with the culprit... it doesn't add up.
Maybe the trouble with these muslims is that they are not Jedi enough ?? :silly:
Where's Star Forge when you need him
