I use the thankyou button to say 'I'm listening', and also to say 'good point' or 'I find that interesting'.
It won't let me have a blank signature ...

By clicking on it....

Ok sorry I just had to. I use it to show agreement with or thanks for a post made. I basically use it to show that I like, agree with, or learned something from a post.

I often grade journals. I use it to mark that that has been checked. I use it to agree some times with those and what is said. My attention has been given when I use the thank you button.
I use it to keep track of my students as well. If they get a thank you it's been checked. Many different uses for the little bit of code!
