Which weapons would you want to see against each other?

For example would you find it interesting to see someone wielding a battle axe against someone wielding a war hammer? Or perhaps a katana and a claymore. Or a pair a of sai versus a pair of kama?

I find it interesting to see two different kinds of weapons wielded by two different people and have them duel so you can see the advantages and disadvantages of each weapon.

Kinematics might be a good place to start. I guess it boils down to processing information in those spatial (position, movement) and temporal (timing) domains. You can use a particle theory approach to associate key points to physical objects, any environmental boundaries, and vector potentials which drive movement.... as a preparatory 'measure' phase, then you can have an ongoing 'monitor' phase to track them, with a action orientated 'manage' phase. The best thing I find to exercise this is air warfare, since the primary object (self) can be free to move in three dimensions - with limitations which are sort of instinctive to us, being based around different types of accelerations.

It all translates down to hand to hand, its just the accelerations become more bound and the weapon's most often various types of extensions of body. So to compare hand held weapons against each other firstly would imply they are in contact with each other... as if the point of the fight is to win then the best move is to disarm the other person or be outside their weapon's envelope, otherwise it sounds like a material science question... like what are the natures of strength and weakness in the material, but generally I guess they all have vulnerability in design and use - otherwise it comes down to training and awareness.

I'm pretty sure there's a tv show that does this :)

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

Considering the reputation of the Red Baron I lean towards the triplane being more effective. However since I've really only heard of the one, it could be more because of his skills being superior.

tri-plane schmi-plane... LOL

lets make it interesting.

How about a squadron of F4U corsairs against a single F-4 Phantom!

So consider the scenario and then consider what would happen if some alien race brought, say a single fighter consisting of their tech, to our planet to conquer it. Would we ever stand a chance?
