OK ninjutsu meditation no best not here
lets keep it simple lets go zen
sit lay down what ever you
like that make you happy
closes your eyes
and say in your mind "what am i "
then look for a answer inside your self
first you may come up with a person
then you may go to a monk
keep going and your fined your end up at things like space
light /darkness very big things.
no answer is wrong.
keep going until there is no more to say
you will then find you are at peace and just breathing.
stay in the moment if you are pull away from it
start again
when you are ready to come out of it
say the words in your mind i am going to open my eyes
they will be clear and bright and i will be at peace.
then open your eyes take a deep breath
and go about your day.

1. Find a comfortable position that isn't so comfortable you'll fall asleep in.
2. Close your eyes
3. Breathe
4. If stray thoughts come to mind, don't fight them. Let them run their course without engaging them.
5. Continue as desired

I belive that i would first if i had several classes/sessions i would start with what i call reflection meditation, wich would be like normal emptyness meditation however you clear your head and then think about why you are here, in my class and what you wish to learn and how you wish to improve, if you simply wish to be taught meditation or maybe even grow spiritually. Then we would have emptyness meditations (emptyness of mind) to just relax and release all of the student(s) stress. I have always been a fan of binaural beats and so, so that may be something i would use aswell

You cannot teach meditation.
You can explain meditation.
You can guide meditation.
You can answer questions about meditation.
But you cannot teach meditation.
Meditation must be experienced.

If I were teaching someone meditation, I would teach them through the practice of martial arts.
Martial arts by their nature require focus and dicipline. They combine both the mental, physical, and philosophical aspects of meditation.
As many on here have agreed, meditation takes different forma for different people. I have seen many struggle with the "sit and stay" style which is so popularized, and often times they think that is all meditation can or should be.
Especially if one is shadow boxing, it provides for the element of meditative visualization, or in other words, allows the practitioner to enter into a trance like state.
