Your post was reported as offensive. As such, I deleted it. Then you PM me as if you are my superior officer. You are not. I owe you no explanation. I suppose other than, sorry you feel you being abused?

Chill, bro. You seriously need to relax.

ok, so you did get my messages and you did choose to ignore them, rather than discussing the situation with me like an adult

cause SOMEONE definitely continued to erase my words while you were "under no obligation to answer me"

i quoted my words in this thread exactly as i sent them and the community can judge if i was fair in my wording

and your response is that because i dont outrank you in the military that im not worthy of an answer

?

also
i am relaxed

this is my relaxed face :-)

it looks the same as my contrite face but theyre different

No, he never said you weren't worthy of a response. He stated he was under no obligation to respond, and then proceeded to state that the way you came off at him, demanding answers and this and that, was basically the issue. You are being rather demanding and quite frankly a bit rude.... Again, tone is everything.

But, since it's been eating away at me, I do want to know this. Why, after seeing your post had been deleted, would you proceed to repost it without first getting an explanation? And then why would you continue to post other posts multiple times, after they had been supposedly deleted?

While on top of that doing all this public blasting and everything. . . . I guess I'm just baffled how you think any of your actions in this post and your supposed repeated postings are meant to portray this appearance to the rest of us that you're being abused.

And in case you can't get what I'm hinting at right there, doing so and saying you did so basically sets yourself up to have the appearance of "I'm being abused!!" and giving yourself reason to complain when really... there wasn't. (Oh hey... in that regard, you're kind of doing what you said people who complain about PC are doing ;) Just sayin. . . . )

Said it once, and I'll say it again, not the right way to handle this, Ob1. Go chill out for a bit. That's my final 2cents on the matter. . . .

I don't say this much but the book was worlds better than the movie. It's one of those times I try to convince someone to read it first because of how knowing the ending changes your perspective on the whole thing.

Totally agree. Can't wait for the inevitable sequels.

I gotta say though the movie helped me visualize the game better. Ooo I didn't think of sequels! As much as I'd love to see them, I remember much less action going on than in a Ender's Game. I don't know that it'd translate well. Although I haven't read them for 8 years lol

I love this place but i am very disappointed that this is continuing. No disrespect intended to anyone but knock it off right now

i am disapointed

I'll lock it, if anyone wants it open feel free to PM me.

Edit: This lock action was not done in response to any one post in this thread, but due to the circumstances of many posts here leading me to believe it had run its course.... and the emergence of other, concurrent, same themed threads - so to keep things slightly less 'all over the place' then what might have happened.

Not sure why the thread is open, not sure, do not want to know. I want to say that abuse of moderators is not fun. So far I have not noticed any abuse of moderators, besides this thread (and one other split off topic I guess). It worries me that I do not notice it, before I saw these topics.

Not sure if that is the idea, do not want to know. I feel worried about not noticing it. Please, just be sure that you mods talk about it with some one if it get worse.. What ever triggers it, do not put it behind a wall.. Mods make nice environments, please be sure to make it nice for yourself in doing.. Would feel bad if you did not enjoy it anymore because of abuse.

But it should. I'm growing rather continually annoyed with the way that what is said in TOTJO is far less important than how it is said. Some people lack the English skills or social skills to bring things to light in ways that tiptoe on the eggshells strewn about this forum. Their points should not be shuffled into the bin simply because people think they're being jerks.

I'm told I'm rather consistently a jerk. I'm also told I'm wrong here often. You'd be utterly amazed at how many PMs hit my inbox that suggest the latter only because of the former. It's ludicrous. It's illogical. And it is nothing akin to fair.

If we aren't going to treat everyone the same, then we should plaster that on the front door, don't you think?

I respectfully disagree with that statement, but am too dumbfounded by its use to argue at this point in time xD Offense is handed out freely on a near ubiquitous basis. I do have to admit, however, that TotJO is one of the places I've found it the least :)

One of the primary lessons a Jedi should learn is that it is not the actions of others that make our lives difficult or unpleasant, it is our reaction to those actions that determines whether or not we are ill at ease.

The same can be said of offense. Perhaps if you find offense so easily at TOTJO, you could take a look at your reactions to those incidences and see where you might alter them to provide yourself more wholeness and peace.

Sometimes you just need to let go of things, let the energy disperse and the water settle.

Take a moment and visualize: Your swaying in a hammock on a clear summer day, blue skies, a gentle breeze on your face, birds chirping. Everything is peaceful, all is well as you drift off and gently nap. :)

Because we are all individuals, who all respond differently...

The tone and wording can put some off, and therefore, the 'messages so plainly written', is lost...

Yes, some can be attributed to people being offended, and that is there problem...

However, if you (an indivdual) really wanted people to listen and understand, it would be done in a way as to communicate it in the best way for the listener...

"My son hit his sister... And I grabbed him up by his shrit, and yelled at him, and acted like a child...

My wife said, "Quit acting like a child, treat him as you would want treated."

My response was, "I cannot treat him like I want treated, because he is 4/5 years old... He cannot act like a 35 year old, and discuss this with me, I can, however, act like a 4/5 year old, and communicate in a wayin which he understands..."

Never had any more trouble...

If you want your message [strike]heard[/strike] understood, you have to speak to your audience so that they understand...

Otherwise, you might as well be speaking to the wall...

And, being a 'jerk' if one chooses to act like it, doesnt let the message get though in the best way...

But, hey, its your message... Do as you will...

On walk-about...

Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....
