Someone I know is into the dark side

I know very little about magic, and don't really have a stance on if I believe it or not. I do, though, believe in metal healing and distance healing. perhaps that is something you can look into o you can try to help him.

It is true. It's too bad my brother isn't aware of that. Or if he is, he doesn't care. He doesn't seem to believe in karma and doesn't think his actions have to do with his life. I work with nature and try to use magic to help others, not use it for my own personal gain at someone else's expense.

Many years ago I learned of a story. A beautiful one about a young girl who thought she was a princess. Her father had remarried and had a child with his new wife and his older daughter resented it. She created a fantasy world for herself to escape and imagined all of her bad feelings and anger in mythical goblins and such. But what fantasy about a princess is complete without a love interest? In her fantasy world she created a man who had the power to give her everything she wanted, he was dark, mysterious, powerful and handsome too.

This girl wished one night that her brother would be taken away and her darkest demons manifested in doing just that. She instantly realized what she did was wrong, she was being selfish. Her brother was innocent and she realized she had to save him. So she went on a journey to rescue her brother, facing her monsters and demons. She grew up, and in the end even when faced with her evil love interest who offered her everything her heart desired she came to realize something very important.
Her words to break his spell and return to her and her brother home was "You have no power over me......"

She had fought the demons in her own mind who were not even really there to begin with. She believed they were real and to her they manifested as reality when in fact it was all in her head.

That is the greatest lesson, no matter what. Real or not. If you do not let something or someone have power over your mind, then you are free. Allow them to gain power no matter it be a thought, idea, word or deed and they can control you.

"You have no power over me......."

I'm referring to the movie Labryth with the incredible David Bowie who the world is in mourning right now. It was a lighthearted children's movie but had a very powerful coming of age message.

Remember those words. They are the most powerful of anything anyone can throw at you.

i was at one time in to what your bother was in too, but in a deference way.
power!! is what i was after, just like your brother how does it start, well you just got to go looking the dark side loves to put it out there. ones you hook in to it
it hooks in to you
you see a spirit of the dark hooks in to your head first it start with a wispier
tells you your angry or depressed and you need something to make you feel better sex,magic to dominate
and if you go do that your feel better.
at first you think it is you talk its friendly. then it start to tell you things about people and put in just a good amount
of truth to think that what it is saying is right all the time.
then when it has you thinking you have got power no normal person has and it like a drug to you
the spirit lets you know it not you but it
that it is a bad spirit what we call the dark side,demon what ever you know bad as

it then promises you great power over people,money
but sorry to say it only love is to make you do it bidding
it put you on a path of self destruction. cutting your self turning you against your friend, family
the women you love.
you can not help your brother until he feels he is no long in control
then you can help him.

Thanks everyone. I do appreciate the support and prayers. I do wish he could come to his sense. I think he knows deep down what he's doing is wrong but is addicted to power like a drug. This is why I tried to practice druidry and I find this path most interesting.
