Well that looks awfully familiar! :D

Greetings,

I feel very strongly in the "strength in diversity" principle. I believe also very strongly in the return of indigenous cultural beliefs. I am a Cymry Gwyddon, or a follower of the ancient Brythonic principles which are cousins of Asatru and Gaol Naofa's Irish reconstruction. The diversity brings strength to the species and helps to foster new ideas and new looks at the principles by which we expand knowledge and wisdom. I see nothing in the principles of Jediism that should abolish multiple religious views held by its members. There are a diverse set of cultural belief systems inherent in the books.

I've been asking myself for a while now why the ancient religions aren't being resurrected. For almost 2 thousand years this wasn't possible, for obvious reasons (Christianity crushing any kind of different belief systems and actively prosecuting and killing their members as heretics, witches etc.), but in modern times, these restrictions are disappearing. I'm very happy to hear about the temple in Iceland, even though its name is as unpronounceable as everything else in Icelandic :-)

I wonder if they have a spokes person who will talk to the public about Noars religion and mythology. My husband is getting us involved with this local viking group that THINKS they are the authentic Sh*** but are quite contradictory to what my own research comes up with....Be nice to have someone Official to say yes or no on some historical inaccuracies.

On one side, I wish we could let the past go and move cleanly into the new age of Aquarius. Lets take on the mantle of the new vibration.

And I appreciate the fact that people are invoking their truth. its their culture and they should be permitted to practice that culture as they see fit (within reason, and respecting each other in civil ways, lol)

In my heart I say I can not wait to see it. In My lifetime I can finally stand in a new piece of history newly commissioned. Regardless if we believe on the same levels or not the grand beauty and art that will come from this will be....legendary in size and value, money and spiritually both equally the same in value.

This just seems odd.
As far as I can tell the ancient Vikings did not build any temples to begin with, they believed their gods to be present in the forces of nature. Now they're building a temple - which seems like a christian-inspired thing to do. I have mixed feelings about it.
