this individual is not "saying" anything, but simply providing information so that other individuals, who possess independent cognitive capabilities, can analyze the data on their own.

It's called trolling, Edan. Subtly pushing the other side into reacting disproportionately in order to play the victim card once they do. It is a strategy, not an argument. He tried the non-subtle way and that didn't work out in his favour so now he thinks that maybe, since our ideas are so worthy of ridicule rather than response in his view, we might be the kind of people who are likely to react disproportionately to this new, subtle means of provocation.

Better to leave questions unanswered than answers unquestioned

Gisteron, this is exactly what you and many other user accounts have been doing since I signed up on this forum.

I've sort of said this before, but I would prefer that you do not reply to any of my post or threads. I do not want you to reply or react in anyway that way I will not react to you and the sock puppet gangs strategy. Therefore, "Subtly pushing the other side into reacting disproportionately in order to play the victim card once they do. It is a strategy, not an argument." has been demonstrated to be a total lie.

I came to this forum to talk about things that I like to talk about, not to argue. Arguing, provocation, and the endless deceit of the doppleganging sock puppet crew, that Gisteron has repeatedly identified himself as being a part of, is what I ran into.

As you said in the other threads good things stand on their own, do not need defense, but then why are my post and ideas so threatening to you to set you off on the attack? I've suggested previously that you do not need reply(or react) to them, and I'm asking you again please don't respond to my post. I have no desire to argue with you or react to your provocations. What you have accused me of in numerous threads is exactly what you have done. Meat puppet or not.

but I am human, so I may start drawing more cartoons, and acting more like you if you continue to not so subtly push me.

My desire in coming to this online forum is to be a part of what it claims to be. The doppleganging socket puppet crew has provided ample evidence that this online forum is not what it claims to be.

I agree that many user accounts have claimed to see in me what they wanted to, and it had absolutely zero to do with what I am actually about.

On the other hand I have seen a lot more of what I didn't want to see in this online forum than of what I wanted to see.

The name of this forum is Temple of the Jedi Order, and they claim to believe in the Force. They claim to be Jedi.

For the most part I do not see that. What I hear the loudest is people going out of their way to mock the Force.

There have been exceptions and a minority of the people have offered evidence that they actually do believe in the Force while taking the doctrine, creeds and codes seriously.

Instead of being a bigoted, dogmatic believer in the grand deception that is much of mainstream science which serves the interest of state and corporations one could take a look at, and discuss, the science that is actually open to studying our existence and the phenomena within it.

Hi Guys, I don't know how this thread got to this point with so much negativity going round :( it's a shame because we all have our own opinions of things and as Jedi we should be accepting of that. Reading between the lines this appears to be something on going that's cropped up again in this thread, if that's the case then I have to support ghost dog in that none of us are under any obligation to view or respond to posts and whether we agree with their content or not it is unfair to mock or belittle what other users say. I understand that we are all human and things will get to us but we shouldn't be arguing and fighting between ourselves, it goes against what we are supposed to stand for in my opinion.

Anyway, moan over, what I wanted to say in relation to the original post is that I am aware of at least 2 other people that look enough like me to cause confusion. One from south Africa (some random couple started talking to me as they'd met 'me' whilst on their holiday and seemed surprised when I not only didn't recognise them but had lost 'my' south African accent lol) the other person appears to live in a neighbouring city, at least he did 10 years ago (this resulted in a group of lads attacking me for sleeping with one of their exes and I held my own until my then girlfriend managed to convince one of them that I don't live there and it was in fact my first time there visiting her :|) so doppelganger or no, they have caused me grief lol.

Interesting topic, foreign to me, not having any. Scary thought!!

A good chance to offer a friendly reminder to all about the rules regarding multiple accounts.

Only one account is allowed per user unless approved by Council, so I hope everyone can please be sincere with their efforts here, and respect the genuine effort that this Temple represents to help people in the Jedi way.

Every bit of help each person can bring is priceless and can make a huge difference to someone in need - but the root ingredient has to be genuine intention and fair conduct - in my opinion it is compassion and honesty which will reward us each more then any other fancy.

TOTJO Rules wrote: The simple rule is one account per member. There is no point, need or reason for anyone (except appropriate administrators) to have more than one account with which to access this site.

The real problem in many online forums is when moderators or others associated with the agenda/business side of forums create dopplegangers to promote their agendas or simply to make their online community appear more diversely active than it truly is. Who polices the police? The police? lol.

This has nothing to do with multiple accounts.

ghost dog is clearly saying that the personalities we create behind our forum handles are the doppelgänger.

Who we pretend to be behind the username. What our "idealized" version of ourselves is.

And, it's not a bad lesson.
