Eeeeh....I am a bit twisted on this.
My first response is that yes. Perfection IS attainable and I have done it. And in reaching those perfections i have always found new ones to work towards.
As a mother of two children I can point to two right there and call them perfect, because to me...they are. My pregnancies with them were perfect. The pain and labor of them was perfect. The ellation of delivery and holding my precious little daughters in arms and suckling them at breast was absolutely perfect.
But finding those perfections are not the end. There are always a thousand other things of perfection to strive for
Some of them are unreachable. Some of them come at you with a surprise! Some simply take time and patience to get there.

"There is nothing in this world that is truly "perfect". Though it may be a rather large cliche, it is still the truth. It is the ordinary people who look up to "perfection" as an ideal and seek after it. But in truth, what is this idea of "perfection" truly worth? Nothing. Not a single thing. I detest "perfection". To be "perfect" is to be unable to improve any further. There would be no scope for "creation", not a single gap in one's knowledge or one's ability. Do you see now? To true scientists like you and I, "Perfection" is tantamount to "despair". We aspire to reach greater levels of brilliance than ever before, but never, NEVER, to reach perfection. That is the paradox through which we scientists must struggle. Indeed, it is our duty to find pleasure in that struggle. In other words, the second you allowed yourself to spout a ridiculous word like "perfect", in truth, you had already been defeated. That is if you wish to be treated as a scientist."-Mayuri Kurotsuchi

I agree "perfection" as thought of by the human mind is unattainable...
we can strive for it, for better....
But, is everything, "perfect"as it is?
By everything, I mean, like everything
"Creation" that's lead us to this point?
I'm gonna get weird, you "straights" may want to back out now...
Orr, tell me to stop,....

No need to stop. Let er rip!
To stive to improve yourself is fine. To expect perfection is unrealistic and a step toward insanity. :woohoo: Unfortunitly for those pursuing perfection they get so caught up/focused they don't see how unbalanced they have become. Now that is dangerious.

Agreed. That's the best part for me; when confronted with the idea that it is impossible to reach the top, that the journey stretches out before me endlessly in all directions, well, that's when I grin and say "Let's do this." Nothing is more exciting than knowing there's always more to learn.

Couldnt say. There is no context for me within that "everything" you speak of, nor could I, being a human, with a human mind say with any real honesty that it is "perfect". Not in regards to "Stupid design".
Again though, one asks, what is this notion of perfection worth in any regard?
Especially within that context, or lack of it.
I cannot even truly understand the concept put forth of "everything", it makes things entirely too vague and ambiguous to have any worth.
Certainly, the universe inspires wonder, and awe, but no notion of perfection for me.

Perfection is where it's the point where there cannot be anymore improvements and is awesome enough to not practice it anymore. Perfection can be good and bad depending on the situation. In a band competition or an essay, perfection can be useful, than talking to a friend or working hard to be lazy or a slacker. Perfection is almost impossible and requires lots of practice, time and dedication. That's why I am undecided.
