Two poles of the same thing. Like two faces of a coin, they are not separated. Also I don't think that the two poles should be called dark or light, good or bad. As the Potentium states, it is one Force and it is harmonious. If someone is confused and wants to use the Force to fulfil a twisted desire, it doesn't alter the true nature of The Force.

I see it like this: To be in the light side is to understand or have the will to understand the true nature of The Force which is harmonious, this is clarity. To be in the dark side is to not understand and be blind to the true nature of The Force, that's why they are in darkness.

I wasn't suggesting that things have intentions like humans.

In terms of Nuclear energy the two obvious sides you could look are Fission and Fusion. Two poles, both parts of the same thing. Though not every one believes it this is a Hermetic Law. Everything vibrates every thing has poles.

Light and absence of light are just names. Though you're correct, the names are irrelevant. Dark and absence of dark is just as correct. Call it what you will the point being is that you have one and you have the other. Though they may or may not be good or evil the points is they are not the same. :dry:
