The Protomen make concept albums based off of the Megaman games, set in a dystopian future.
This song is a confrontation between Megaman and his brother, Protoman.
Protoman has given up on mankind and Megaman stands as their only hope against the forces of Dr. Wily.

Megaman seems to hold a Jedi point of view.
Protoman says:
"If these people tell this story to their children as they sleep, maybe someday they'll see a hero is just a man who knows he is free."

The song has a melancholy ending, but I think Protoman's final words here give an important lesson.

I just posted this in the " WARLTRN " thread, but this song definitely has a (humorously) Jedi message, so it's worth a cross-post.
