People Killing Each Other

I'm just throwing this one out their...

The news if filled with reports of people killing people on a rather large scale around the world. I'm just not not getting it. It's sad. People dying, many are inocent victems. I know there are crimes of passion but large groups of people killing large groups of people is a waste of life. Sure one groups "wants" something another group has and there are always people that crave power. Large scale hate escapes me.

Obviously some groups of people have always hated other groups. Some for many many generations. Vengeance and long term hate seen connected. History is filled with events like that but such huge hate is hard for me to grasp. Is it natural? Is there a place for hate in life? It doesn't seem right.

Hate, especially on such a large scale, seems at variance with the living force?

I wonder about it too, but I'm pretty sure its supposed to be happening like this...otherwise it would be happening some other way.

Also, there is alot of good and alot of evil(terms loosely used) we don't hear about at all.

I just put it down to poverty and cultural drivers, exasperated by increasing populations and better travel allowing disparate groups to bump into each other more and more. Perhaps isolated cultures are not as well able to adapt to these circumstances. It's a bit of race for everyone to get used to diversity and peace before the affordability of serious weapons becomes too dangerous ie; WMD proliferation.

I don't think its normal or required for people to be killing each other.

It does though exist in all strata's and types of communities, at individual and small group levels when their is ideological manipulation or force on some psychological or sociological vulnerability to manipulation.

It comes down to beliefs vs ideas...an idea is easily changed with new information, beliefs don't change easily....no one is willing to die for an idea and therefore unwilling to kill for one, people are willing to die for a belief and therefore willing to kill for one....

3 prophets are at the center of a good deal of the current tribulations, moses,muhammed,and jesus...their ideas twisted into beliefs....

There is a lot of stuff going on, yes there is a lot of killing happening around the globe.

Just remember, media sells ratings by such "news". Take what you hear, but I always do some research and try to get more than what the media is feeding us. Just like at accident scenes, it would appear that humans love to gawk. Which increases ratings for the media.

There is a lot of good going on out there, it just does not make the news as often. There is hope.

I just wish there was more I could do than pray for peace.

Well, try not to kill anybody. That helps.

It saddens me too...The violence is nothing new though...All the time I wish humanity could be more like the humans on Star Trek and work together and accept each other with peace and strive to be better as a species together...One day, perhaps...Maybe when we finally begin major space travel and make first contact with other species...
