Nah, it just allows one to be more mean.

I think the problem is a lot of people are already quite happy to be mean, and being poor just reduces the capacity of getting away with it.

Why would being poor mean you are more likely to get away with being mean?

I think I wrote it was harder to get away with it if poor, and therefore ie less capacity to lose, already busy staying afloat, less resources to develop network of criminality/protection.

In the game its a similar thing, I think it was more to do with boredom. The winner/rich has excess time available to exert things which are being interpreted as 'dominance'... the resource being mental time or effort. So I think they are probably expressions of boredom that they think they have already won and the effort required is wasted. Meanwhile the loser/poor is busy focusing desperately on it and each move is important, and even emotional as the concept of losing reduce the capacity for that person to justify their effort also, but from the other angle as its required in greater complexity from the loser, to try and win or draw and achieve at least where they felt they were like at the beginning of the game. That is how it looks to me anyway. I know nice and mean rich people, and poor people too, the percentage is about the same but the rich ones appear meaner because they can afford to burn bridges left right and centre.

Its why when I gamble, I always rightoff the investment (wrong word btw lol) as a loss immediately. If I cannot afford to lose that money then I do not do it to begin with! So since I've already lost it by doing it, losing has already been accepted and win's are unplanned windfalls.

So, according to this research, the 7 habits of highly wealthy people are:
1. Lie
2. Cheat
3. Steal(from kids even)
4. Break the law
5. No empathy
6. No compassion
7. No sharing

Sounds about right.

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

I personally am not sure necessarily it would be to do with boredom, as the rich players sound like they were quite engaged regardless of their wealth.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...
