dreams, dreaming and lucid dreaming was created by
I wanted to ask you guys: what do you think about dreams in general? How can I connect them with the force or are they part of it? And is anyone here a lucid dreamer? I dont know if you are interested in this discussion , it's my first open thread in this forum and I have to admit that I'am a bit nervous about it.
For those who dont know: lucid dreams are dreams in which you have controll over your dreames world and you know that you are sleeping in your bed right when it happens. It is a state of mind where I personally learned much about myself. I practise it 5 or 6 years now, feel free to ask questions about it, i will happily answere them. (I'm learning english right now, feel free to correct mistakes, I wont feel attacked because of it. )
Thanks for this great forum, may the force be with you all.

Everything is part of the Force. Dreams are the reconstruction of your thought-patterns into a surreal kind of reality. They are very inspirational. If they seem prophetic, don't take them too literally, but more poetically so you don't corner yourself into an ill omen.
Lucid dreaming rules! Some people would call this the fourth dimension. Names are for dogs. However, this is a great place to realize the "god within you". It's also a good place to strengthen your confidence in that respect. If you fly, but lose control and fall, you need to believe in yourself more.

I can agree with everything you said but the realitiy part. I don´t think that dreams are surreal. I truly believe that they are part of your reality. It´s proven that you can train stuff in dreams. Athlets do this and for the brain, it is 100% the same thing as training awake. The only thing that is different is the grow of muscles. The prophecy aspect is well known, I think it is because your body can send you messages due dreams. I do believe that dreams can be warning signals, but people need to learn how to deal with them.
I like the "god within you" part, I noted it and i will definitely think about it! Thanks for your answer, I appreciate it

Heh, sorry. My American predisposition to wantonly hurl around words like "surreal" in a sentence. There are many events in my "Waking Life" I would designate as "surreal". Have you ever gone through a waking event that seemed like a dream? "C'est la vive" as my Grandma said before she died. It's not hard for me to say that a majority of my "Waking Life" has seemed surreal. Speaking of, I strongly recommend to you the film The Waking Life.
The great thing about dreams is they transcend time and space. When we (humanity) were hunter-gatherers, our Shamen functioned as a sort of spiritual guide (like the original religious leaders). They got a lot of their inspiration and visions from their dreams (and psychotropic substances).
Hell, even The Bible has a figure with blessed dreams in the book of Genesis named Joseph. He is the son of Jacob Israel (one of the twelve that would become the Twelve Tribes of Israel). If you read about him, you will notice that he is a prototype for Jesus (Dreamworks even made a cartoon about him that you can see on Netflix. I'm pretty sure that Mark Hamill--who you know as Luke Skywalker--is the voice of Judah . . . or was it Simeon?). Anyway, Joseph has all of these amazing dreams that make him super important and stuff

Dreaming is a hobby of mine, entertainment, and I've had some high level lucidity, and pretty regular low lucidity. I've noticed it's intensity seems to be proportional to the breadth of the dream environment. For example the highest lucidity I've had was on a single point, in that case a stationary rain drop. Using repeating patterns works for things like lucidity in flying, such as forest or water. I've noticed a potential capacity for seeing the future but thats a bit controversial amongst myself

You bring forward a very interesting question! About dreams being part of the Force, that is. It's something I'll have to think about.
According to my current definition of the Force (Which is ever-evolving, I'm very much new to the idea and my beliefs are attuning always.) then I would say no, dreams aren't part of it per se. But you could CERTAINLY make the argument that they are!
When it comes to connecting your dreams to the Force, i would say you should try keeping a dream journal, and interpreting them later in the day, when they aren't so fresh in your mind. Take them how you will! It's a fascinating idea.

If we are a part of the Force and our dreams are a part of us (which are just assumptions or points of view), dreams belong to the Force as well. Even if someone doesn't agree with my way of reasoning, there may be other ways that lead to the same outcome.
As for lucid dreaming, I have lucid dreams from time to time. I can't "start" them at will but they convert from regular dreams. It also seems that there is a kind of dream world in my mind, meaning that I encounter certain places or people more than once in different dreams and I'm aware of it. It's the same as in the "real" world when one comes across a place where one has been before. I hope that makes sense, it does to me
