Website?

The intro happened to me twice; once on latest posts on site's footer and once on my topics page by clicking on last post of a topic.

This bug has been around since almost near the time this template was released - at least for me. I never knew why it did it then. I'll see what I can do to resolve it though.

Does it happen after you've been logged-in a while? Does the yellow menu bar disappear? or does it happen soon after log-in? (note that initial log-in should redirect to that "intro" page)

I'm not sure about everyone else, but on my end, this tends to only happen when I'm logging in. Instead of it going to the intended intro page, it goes to a blank intro page and the JomSocial system is completely gone (menu and front page access), until I log out and log back in again. Then it logs in correctly.

that's session corruption, when the yellowbar disappears. I'm not sure what causes it, but parts of the site believe you are still logged-in and parts of it believe you're not. quick fix is to log-out and back in.

jomsocial and kunena handle their sessions separately from joomla, it could be both aren't set-up with the same timeout.

Yeah I remember yo telling me this in the past. Logging out and logging back in until the yellow bar appears seems to fix it.

It generally happens after I've been automatically logged out like for instance if my computer is put to sleep.

I stay logged in. A normal day... turn my computer off, go to sleep, wake up, turn my computer on, and load up the link to latest forum posts. That loads fine with me logged in automatically, but when opening the first forum thread to read, it goes to the intro page instead. Subsequent pages open normally. This only appeared after the recent downtime/hack. The site visually looks normal and no logging in or out happens at any time.

Agreed - I stay logged in and it's the first forum page I load when I arrive which redirects.

I tend to open a few in tabs and the first tab always ends up at the Intro page. One day I'll learn and open the first tab twice..

The problem seems to happen when "remember me" is used.

I guess kunena recognizes user as logged in but jom social doesn't, or could be the other way but since in latest topics you can see the forums that requires you to have special access I bet it is jom social that thinks you aren't here...

I can think of 2 solutions, either to change jom social's standard of logged in users time out or... I'm not sure how to say it so I'm going to describe it. .. some websites like 4shared or YouTube for example, when you want to do something that requires you to log in and you aren't, they'll show you a form and afyer entering user and password you'll be redirected to the page you were already on... while in TOTJO case you'll always be redirected to intro.

I can guess it's for new members but maybe you can add a boolean so only for the first log in it'll show up...
