No idea...but probably not. Drugs cause more serious issues than simple "selfish behavior."

Also, drugs have helped me to become less selfish in the long run, figure that one :P

These 'game' studies confuse me, because the participants know its a game.... and most games are about winning, even if they are economic games. Though I haven't seen the game, you have to wonder what is actually being measured in the tests.

The placebo mask's for knowledge of the compound's existence, my concern is the asserted outcomes sounds more based on the game design rather then actually representing what the participants (in either regime) are thinking when playing a game.

Perhaps the use of pain was meant to do something to shape the preferred activity, to define the parameters of right or wrong in the game, but then when pain was excluded participants could have just overcompensated by exploring actions in previously withheld 'plays'. That would depend on how they used pain I guess, not having read the full thing I'm just thinking out loud.
