If you could choose just one thing to change about the world, what would it be?

I think I would just want people to be nicer to each other and embrace one another's differences. I think it's the things that makes us different that makes life interesting. If we all liked the same things, did the same things, thought the same things, felt the same things, and believed the same things, life would just get boring.

To be Honest, I'm not sure what I'd change.
Perhaps strengthen all humanity's ability (and desire) to know themselves without praise or blame?
I could probably think of some others...

BUT- Real reason I posted was that I thought you might be interested looking at this other thread which doesn't quite answer your question exactly but might give you some feedback (if one could change more than one thing and ruled the world)..

My ability to accept change. The rest changes enough already  happily I'm working on it ;)

Other than that I'd change it so people in third world countries have clean water and enough food to eat. The idea that we're living in an age where people are taking tourist trips to space but there are still children dying of malnutrition... just unimaginable.

If I could only change one thing about the world, I'd teach everyone that listening to an idea, entertaining the thought of it, is not the same thing as accepting it or believing it. I think it would go a long way toward tolerance if we could all say "I may not believe in that myself, but I understand how you do."
