The Journals forum gives people a space to share their thoughts and studies, but it's also a source of some valuable feedback... given the fact people are encouraged to be entirely open and honest in their Journals (if they want to) I've found some of the best personal insights I've had have come from replies to my Journal, or PMs off the back of my entries. I go there to spill my guts (I actually just did, )... stuff I wouldn't have been comfortable sharing on the open forum.

Sorry if you don't find this to be the case however.

Because people don't pay attention....

It really shows who reads the information we have painstakingly put together...

Questions already answered elsewhere, lol...

Not in some thread, those are much more difficult to find, but in the headers, and FAQs, and front page, anywhere specifically set aside to answer questions....lol...

People just don't want to exert themselves... They want to have others, who have done the work, to show them...

And, we love questions! But we made the FAQ for a reason, because they are Frequently Asked Questions.....

Lol....:)

If you want to respond to something in someone's journal the best practice would probably be to PM them or you could make a new thread, quote them, leave a link to their post and comment there.

i know this and that's my point when i write a journal id like personally no comments .......my thoughts when i put them down are mine ...im more then open to messages but it confuses my line of reasoning with other peoples when i have comments on a journal entry .....if someone presents to me an idea that changes an opinion I will present it in my journal ....i just don't like my journal being filled with the others ideas it derails my train of thought ......which is already a fairly unsteady train

I've found that during the IP people commented on my journal just once or twice and then it was knights or above.
They are not here to derail your thoughts or change them, just to help and usually they wait for you to ask for that.
Your thoughts are what makes you you and gives others an idea of who you are, nobody wants to disrespect them.

Well, here is the thing...

We knights postin journals sparingly... We do so, becasue we want something you have said, and our response, to be seen by others to teach a point, or lesson to many...

We are all here on the planet to help one another, and advance as a species...

So, we do reserve the right, as the senior members to make comments in journals...

But, one of the questions new Knights ask, is "when can I post in journals?"

And, we use the same rule of thumb, lol...

We post in journals, sparingly...

I think benedict, the best thing to do is to keep a journal for the IP (makes it easier for Masters to follow your work), and perhaps start a second for thought's / discussion.

This keeps everything flowing smoothly ;)
