Songs Into Stories was created by
I finally made up my mind and decided I'm going to participate in NaNoWriMo this year, but I'm going to do it a little differently. Instead of starting a new novel, I'm going to write a compilation of short stories based on songs. I'm in the process of trying to decide which songs to use, but it's a bit more difficult than I thought it would be.

If you know of a song that would make a really good short story, I'd be really greatly and truly appreciative if you'd post it here! :-D I need some ideas!

Oh... and so you know, I write a kind of "futuristic fantasy" kind of story. Magical elements with technology thrown in...

Woohooo!! Now I have Jedi buddy to join me in NaNoWriMo! Haha.

You could use some blues songs, a lot of those are pretty much stories already! Like some George Thoroughgood or something. Maybe some songs from the band "Say Anything?" They wrote a rock opera and their stories are very conducive to story writing. One in particular, "Alive With the Glory of Love," might fit fairly well in a futuristic setting I think. Even though its kind of about World War II, lol.

Well I'll be publishing them on my blog... free to read. You sound like me, though. I have two novels I'm working on. One is a series and the other is a stand alone.
