The real question is why are we attracted to that which we find attractive? beauty is in the eye of the beholder: why? How?

Why does the heart crave what it craves?
I'll accept there can be physiology involved, but that doesn't explain why in some cultures, young and athletic is attractive, and in others, it is stretch marks and cellulite.

Culture explains it but I do think the basic desire to join parts stays the same.
