Kohadre wrote: I actually remember reading this online the other day. Just another case of people thinking what they post ONLINE is kept private and out of the public eye.
I'm a big advocate for free speech and respecting personal privacy, however when you post online you are exercising the first aspect and revoking your right to the second.
possibly. as we all know, there are limits to 1st amendment protections, such as not crying fire in a theater, threatening the life of the president, and apparently, as it came so soon after sandy hook and emotions were raw, this kind of thing.
further, this is not the land of the free. please do not be under that illusion. if you are, feel free to smoke a lot of drugs. go punch your least favorite teacher. drive around recklessly. walk around yelling. insult a cop. and so on. and see how long that lasts for you. we have the largest prison population
per capita on the planet. yes, larger than red china, north korea, cuba, etc. and this is not a recent, post 9/11 thing. it started back in the 80s with the ramping up of the useless 'war on drugs', which is, of course, actually a war on personal freedoms. and was only excacerbated somewhat by this BS war on terror.
tl dr: this doesnt surprise me. and if it surprises you, you havent been paying attention. welcome to the united states of fear.

'Hey! How’s it going? I’m all right.
My job is so sh*tty I wish could overthrow my boss. It’s like this oppressive regime where only true believers in his management techniques will stay around. I work marathon-length hours and he’s made all these changes that have made it the worst architecture firm to work at in Manhattan. Like he moved the office to the Financial District and fired my assistant. She was the only one who knew where the blueprints were! I need access to those blueprints to complete my job! F my life, right? I seriously feel ready to go on strike at any second.
I just read this article about how these free radical particles can cause the downfall of good health and accelerate aging. These could actually cause death to millions of Americans. If these particles are flying around undetected everywhere, does that mean we’re all radicalized?
Have you seen the second season of Breaking Bad? I just finished it. I couldn’t believe that episode where they poison the guy with ricin! That was the bomb! I won’t say any more because I don’t want to reveal the earth-shattering events to come.
Oh! So I’ve been planning a big trip for the summer. I’m thinking of visiting all of the most famous suspension bridges in the United States. So probably like the Golden Gate Bridge, The Brooklyn Bridge, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. I’m gonna bring my younger brother and I know he’ll want to go to bars, so I’m thinking of getting him a fake drivers license, but I hope that doesn’t blow up in my face.
Okay, I gotta run! I’m late for flight school. I missed the last class where we learn how to land, so I really can’t miss another one. Talk to you later!'

edit: feel free to pepper your comms with as many trigger words as you can jam into one message.its more fun if you try to sneak them in undectected, like in emails to coworkers, without them knowing about it. if they ask if you were trying to trigger NSA search parameters, your cover is blown and you lose that round. make it a game!

People should really think twice about what goes up online, is that picture of you getting drunk and throwing up something you want everyone to see? I personally have taken steps to reduce my online presence massively...

Actually the phone call is transcribed by a speech-to-text algorithm and then stored as text. This then stored forever in a database. Every day they create new profiles of types of people and the words they use and research the database to see if you meet the profile.rugadd wrote: I would say potentially, there. Think about the sheer number of phones calls. There is no way they have the staff to just sit there and listen to it all. No, they only pull the file when there is a reason too.
