Part (and most) of me wants to say something critical of it, but I don't know. Some of the stuff they teach in public schools is pretty sad too.
I guess the silver lining is kids will grow up and most of them will start to think for themselves. Then they can decide what to keep and what to let go...because some sharp toothed animals really are herbivores/omnivores.

Hmmm...I'm not so sure about that. I don't have the stats in front of me (nor do I want to look them up, haha, just a casual conversation here), but I would think it is only a minority of children that actually break the mold and leave the religion they grew up with (which is good and bad depending on who you ask).
It took me well into adulthood to finally start thinking for myself and break the mold. I'm not sure if that's an indictment for or against my reasoning skills, haha.
