You don't go to school to get a job. You go to school to learn.

To learn how to get a job, yes. Let's be realistic here. Do you think I just loved me some business? Management? Econ?

No. I wanted to increase the likelihood of getting a high paying job when I graduated. Otherwise, I would have majored in beer.

The primary reason of education, is to make the person fit into society.

Yes, indeed today everyone look at education as a ladder they should go up and high... to get a better job. But lets be honest... why one should push himself, to go higher and higher when he/she is not capable? If you are good enough, don't worry, you'll find a great job. If not... by studying more, the only thing that rises is what you desire from life... and that's no good... you won't agree to do 'low' jobs... if such a thing exists...

Oh, they exist. Come over here and try to pick some fruit, veggies and or berries in 100 degree heat and soul crushing humidity. Now try to do that every day of the season with no vacation or sick days or even weekends (those crops don't care what day it is). I'm a tough hombre but that would break me.

Desolous, I know a girl, She studied in a normal school, studied absolute math in university(i don't know what english speakers call that...) she got her PhD, and right after that, got an invitation from Princeton university to teach there... after a while, she went to Stanford... her name is Maryam Mirzakhani... google her. http://www.lmgtfy.com/?q=Maryam+Mirzakhani

it was just an example... if you are as good as her... you will get a job... without even trying...

if not, either try hard to be as good, or just give up... I'm saying the current generation(INCLUDING ME!)is getting lazier.. try to get money without trying for it.. and the only thing I can blame, is education..!

Mc, I didn't say good things like that don't still happen, they do. But they Are rare and getting rarer.

We were sold a bill of goods. Do well in school and you willl be alright, they said. Well, most of us did. But we are not alright. Not by a longshot. And it is very frustrating.

Btw, giving up is not an option, I have a family to feed. Nor am I lazy. I have worked hard my entire life to get here, with unspeakable hurdles in between. And I'm tired of this bs.

In my country, in regular state schools, things like apprenticeships are usually looked down upon, with the unruly children usually ending up there. Tragic.

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.

Brewers make good money, although I doubt it takes 4 years of college to learn.
