What is the best way to meditate?

so im going outside nearly every day to meditate, and I am wondering what the best way to meditate

I can’t say there is a “best way”. Different things work for different people.if you look through our forums, and even on the ip, you will find several post about what works well for our members here.

Try a few. Don't worry about "best way", but cultivate the practice as often as you feel it is necessary. You might find it helpful to keep a journal to see what has had the greatest benefit. For a while you may have to make it part of your daily routine as a an item. But soon, you will see that it becomes natural

First ones that come to mind;

1. There is the empty mind quietitude meditation, which is so useful to better learn to listen to oneself and ones environment etc. It's a sharpening of the 'cutting down thought' blade.

2. There is the visualisation type, which you use your imagination to sharpen focus on 'creating mental picture' projector. Works better when you've managed to easily apply mental quietitude to enable it, but also it can serve as a useful tool to mediate from noisey mind to quiet mind by breaking the random or unwanted fixation - depends on the individual what is easier probably.

3. There is also the lost in the flow meditation, be it music or repetitive tasks. This is like visualisation but uses an external source with its form and/or pattern providing the thing that your mind can fixate on and become 'absorbed' with it. Repetitive rhythms or soundscapes work well with this as its easy to shunt mental power from thought to sensory feeling.

At the end of the day, its the absorption which merges the senses, faculties and environment to create a resonant blissful experience of connection and greater awareness and clarity.
