I did smirk in something of a shock when all Silas had to say about the list of dictators past was that Hitler wasn't a True Socialist™, as if (or so one might infer from the omission) the kind of socialist he identifies himself with is perfectly in line with the likes of Mussolini or Stalin... Then again, in the OP the only politician explicitly referred to was Bernie Sanders, who - and I think we can agree on that - while self-identifying at times as socialist is by no means the kind of pseudo-communist totalitarian that you mean when you use that word. There is a quite long way to go on this socialist gradient, this spectrum, if you will, before one gets anywhere near dangerous or socially or economically destructive territory, and I think we are better off keeping in mind that there may be some of that nuance in play, lest we fall prey to misunderstandings and foster more yet through knee-jerk reactions...

I would not worry - The way I am reading this thread, it still hasn't.

You didn't. Kyrin is suggesting you implied it when you only complained about being compared to Hitler, but took no issue about being compared to Mussolini and Stalin
