I usually hear about it through the trending patterns of twitter, then go to google and run a search, consider my sources, and form my own ideas about what might actually be happening. I determined that nobody is really telling the whole story about anything, not out of dishonesty, but because nobody can actually cover every angle of a thing, several years ago.
I do try to get at least one hard right and one hard left version of events, because random facts will pop up that the other didn't mention. Then I do research on the validity of those points, if it's big enough.
It's dangerous to have just one voice in your ears.

Agreed! When I run stories on Let's Regroup, I tend to pull form the major sources, and try to balance them out so its' not favoring one over another.
(Fox, CNN, MSNBC typically, sometimes I'll see local stories that I'll run too)
